So happy to hear that the new teaching job is going well. A new house fun but hard work. I always love seeing what you are stitching, crafting, and quilting. I have done a couple of needle point projects but yes when you buy this painted canvases you have to design your own stitches. I would finish the one you did into a pillow with a trim around it they look beautiful. Looking forward to seeing your next video hopefully with stitching on the walls. Another great visit! Glad to hear how much you're enjoying your new job and you're settling into your new home. I just finished WTNT's Candy Corn. I'm trying to decide if I'll finish it as she does - as a pillow - or try to make it more of a stand up peice of candy corn (by adding a little platform at the bottom). But I've never made a stand up and trying it with a little opening is probably not the way to start! I look forward to seeing your quilting progress as well as your stitching. Take care.
Congrats on getting all moved-and right before classes started😅 For the needlepoint , frame it and put arrows pointing to it and I sign that says “Look What I Did!” Maybe you need a bedroom for your shop so you have more craft storage in your office😉 Happy stitching! 5

I loved the video and all of your work, I sure do miss living in Colorado and am so glad for you. Your quilt looks amazing keep up with the joy it will bring you. I have done many needle point projects and it is always fun to see what you can do with the finished work, I still have some that need finishing. Love 1,2,3,4,5 they look like something fun to do.

I just finished the cross stitch of the cat on the pumpkin. It's an out of print chart by Heartstrings (?) called Bittersweet Seasons. It also had different stitches and beading. Lots of fun! 1 2 3 4

I am actually stitching Laurie Holtz flowers appliqué quilt. I didn’t buy the kit because I was new to quilting and wasn’t sure that I could justify the expense if I didn’t know if I liked it. I’ve picked up various Gloryhole fabrics along the way and I think they’re all from fat quarter shop. I kind of follow her basic scheme. If I don’t have that particular fabric then I at least use something in the same color way. At first I worked on it very slowly because I am doing the attachment by hand and not by machine appliqué. I am using an almost invisible silk thread from Appliquick. I am at the halfway point. However at first I worked on it really slowly and now I am doing several blocks month.
Love Halloween stitching, especially 2 and 4! Cannot believe how productive you are and how focused. I’m so scattered and have too many projects going although eventually things do get finished. The important thing is to enjoy the process….😊

Happy life is going well for you and that you love your job. That’s so important. I sometimes wish I hadn’t retired from teaching. I miss the interaction of ideas more then anything. The parents and COVID wax the last straw for me.
Some needlepoint shops will write a stitch guide for you. Some do it for free if you buy the threads. Also, there are stitch guides for some of canvases and some come with stitch guides.

I'm so happy that your moving has come to an end and that you seen to be completely satisfied with it. Sally looks very content, too. I can't believe that you've had time to get all your stitching done too. Keep up all the hard work and enjoy it while you can. One day you will be too old to do anything but sit and stitch!!!! Jen I love your first quilt block it’s so pretty! Is that what they consider to be appliqué? I’ve never quilted before but those are my fav designs but I hear that they’re hard. I adore your postcards what a cool thing to decorate with.
