Happy Birthday. I have a cactus that I call snow ball. He is 41 years old. I love the plain fabric choice. Not the modeled choice. I get my DMC at the shopping stores. Love your channel. The counting is crazy to me. I just want to stitch and enjoy my peaceful time stitching. ❤

Fantastic video! I love all the ducks! Many years ago, when I was first married, we moved to Arizona. One of our favorite things to see was the Saguaro Cactus, although we also liked the Prickley Pear one.

I liked the cool version of cloth as I think the warm version might be a tad busy for the project. I do agree that since DMC is widely available locally, I doubt many order it online. It is nice that you are now carrying all three of the fancy floss lines that most designers suggest! One stop shopping.

Happy Birthday Terry! I turn 60 in October. It was such a relief to hear someone else struggles with easy count! I don’t know why I can’t figure it out. I usually don’t buy DMC from online stores for the reasons you stated. It usually cost more than the big box stores and there is usually, (but not always) a sale. It is getting very disappointing though that most big box stores seem to carry less and less cross-stitch supplies. Cactus

Happy belated birthday , Terri! Welcome to the 60's. The fabric choices for the project are difficult to choose between. I think if you choose the darker fabric, the mottling won't be as noticeable/busy once you begin stitching. Saying that, I tend to go for the cooler color, so I'm no help at all. 😂 I only get DMC from online shops if it comes kitted.

And I order DMC online when I’m ordering something else….because working full time and being busy on the weekends, it’s worth the extra $ for convenience. Happy Birthday Teri! I love the bag you got that says "I Turned 30 Twice!" 😂. Personally, I think your Erin Elizabeth Christmas stitch would look good on the lugana. As for DMC... it's very convenient if I'm in an LNS and need a skein or two, for the store to have it there so I don't have to make a trip to another store. It also helps having DMC available for a quick floss toss on some fabric, or to compare it to any overdyeds I may or may not want to purchase. But that's when I'm at a brick and mortar. For online stores, I'd probably only buy it if I was ordering other things and needed only a skein or two. If i needed a lot of DMC, I'd go to one of the craft stores. Happy stitching!

1. I like the cool fabric 2. If I had a needlework shop near me, I’d buy DMC from there for my smaller projects. My full coverages I buy from 123stitch because I typically need 80ish colors. But sampler stuff, I’d definitely buy from a needlework shop and pay extra to avoid having to make another stop or wait for 123stitch. And I do hope you open a brick and mortar shop. My sister lives in Elkhorn and we drive through Lincoln all the time on our way there.

I sometimes like the convenience of ordering DMC from shops when I order the pattern but I also will buy from JoAnns or Michaels…it’s about 50/50. I miss visiting my daughter in New Mexico (she moved) and seeing the cactus!

Happy Birthday Terri!! I hope you had a great day! When I bought the bunny pattern by Erin Elizabeth from your shop around April I was looking and hoping you had DMC in your shop. I personally don’t have a Joann or Michael’s close to me. So I would be interested in DMC through y’all or have you considered looking at carrying Sullivan floss? It’s a great floss to work with and very affordable alternative to DMC, and it’s not an overdyed floss either.

Happy birthday 🎉 I can not wait to see the full coverage sunflower piece finished, I love both fabric choices for your Sal but I think Hazelnut would be pretty and think the other might be to busy for the pattern but do love that one as well. Cactus is beautiful.

Happy birthday 🎉! I personally would pay a little more to get the Dmc from a needlework store because Joanne's and Michaels are always out of at least one color every time I go to kit something up. Terri I think the linen would look best! I love the cactus project bag!
