Hello Barb - I haven't watch you for such a long time (not you, it's me!!) I went back to quilting in the meantime. I watched you and Leanne from No 1 (the Pam & Steph episode) and I still feel Leanne sitting beside you giggling away - you are doing such an amazing job continuing on with stitching projects remembering her. I will happily select a lovely project to commence on 24 August. By the way, I sewed the Blackbird All Joys for Thine in honour of my mother so there must be something about that piece!

Love, love, love your finishes! The drum and pillow sleeve are impressive! I bought a box of Fiberfill that was larger than I realized. I’ve been restuffing all my sofa cushions that are droopy.

Your finishes are very creative. I enjoyed your stocking tutorial and seeing the stockings you have stitched. Very ambitious. Your cabin must be near our next of the woods. Did you know there is a Norske Nook in Rice Lake too? I think we need an Up North stitchy gathering. Your thoughts on friendships and this community were very touching. Beautiful view heading north into Traverse City when you come over the hill and you see all the water. Enjoy your time there. I like the cherries 🍒 and the pies they sell along side the road but that was many years ago.

Love the American Primitive done on the red fabric, it’s perfect! I would also eliminate the sheep and rabbits and just change the word to America and lowering it down a bit and add the stars, great plan. It seems a little busy for my taste. Your stocking finishes are spectacular! Thanks for sharing close up pictures. I understand about your flowers this year, I don’t deal with deer but the cute little rabbits and squirrels have been my nemesis. You dressing room story is hilarious! The sleeve on the pillow is a great idea, and one I may use...I could make a plain pillow then edge the stitched sleeve with trim, or hem stitch them...lots to think about, and less space needed to store the sleeves than lots of seasonal pillows. The Christmas stocking turned out fabulously!

Hi Barb! I’m relatively new to your channel. I loved your finished objects and your WIP’s. You really caught my attention when you mentioned Osseo and Norske Nook. We used to get off the interstate at that point to go to my parents place in Holcomb. We’ve stopped at Norske Nook a few times with the grandkids. You brought back some really wonderful memories. Girl spray those plants with 7, those nasty Japanese beetles will die! You had cut worms if they ate it to the ground but if you plant marigolds close they will go there and leave your other plants alone! Love your stitching and all you do! Stockings just aren’t my thing plus I have 18 grandchildren! I won’t live long enough to stitch that many! 😂 have a great week! Blessings to you❤

Your stocking is Amazing!! So much beautiful stitching! I envy you having a garden-even with the pests! I’ve been doing a very little container gardening, herbs and lettuce. For us, not much grows in the summer. Probably next month I’m going to try container gardening with a raised box because I can’t handle bending over anymore. Barbara

Yes stocking finishing can be nerve wracking! Especially my daughter in law’s and my sons full coverage ones! The rest weren’t full coverage but still eeek. Stocking is fabulous. And yea that envelope finish is a good idea!

Great video! I love what you did with the strawberry house. Great idea using it as a sleeve. I don't really finish to many things. I send my finished pieces to Faye Riggsbee. And Hobby lobby frames things for me. You do a great job on everything. I have the strawberry house to do. I need to get it at it. My garden is doing well here in Nevada Even with the terrible heat. You should see my sunflowers They are over 6ft tall.

I need to get started on one for our first grandchild, but I get overwhelmed when I look at choosing a pattern. Hi Barb...stockings are beautiful. Just love those old time looking Santas. When you finish your pears would you do a tutorial on them. I also have a few pear patterns and am hesitant to finish with backing, leaves and stems. Thanks.

Barb, it just does not seem possible it has been 3 and a half years since Leanne passed away. I only knew the both of you from your videos but I have always felt that I "knew" you and your sweet friendship was so obvious to your viewers. I have Strawberry House in my stash and I will remember to watch for that fob bit. You really encourage me to think out of the box as well when finishing. Funny that it often takes a boo boo to stimulate the old gray cells.:) Your stocking is beautiful and I am sure they will all be family heirlooms. Like you, we have a small vacation home and when I go there, my flowers here in Alabama just wilt or die. I was trying very hard this year to have some flower beds. I have two winners, Lantana and Mexican Heather. Happy Stitching.

So many "take your breath away" pieces. Christmas Garden and the Plum Street red barn. It made me want to stitch a red barn for the first time in my life, but not really :) when I saw how much work it was. Thanks so much for the video. Your pears have inspired me to begin today.

Love all your work. The stockings and Christmas Garden are heirlooms. The pillow sleeve is spectacular. I stitched a Christmas small several years ago of a village with a church in the center in shades of lt. brown and beige. Then I found some gauze like "material" with golden snowflakes "falling". I want to make a sleeve using it for the small... so it would look like it was snowing in the village, but I wasn't sure how to go about it. Your sleeve may be just the inspiration I need to pick it up again. Your SAL to honor Leann's memory is beautiful.
