This is a quick tutorial to show you how easy it is to make your own decorative pins for your cross stitch finishes.
Supplies used:
E6000 glue
Beads with a fairly small hole
Corsage/Boutonniere Pins (at least two inches long)
I like the pins put out by Dritz that offer both white & Black heads. You can find them online or in a lot of the big box stores: bit.ly/41jbUbm
I've also used this set of pins from Amazon, though the ball head is larger: amzn.to/3KvemVm

Thanks Helen.. I've looked at the pretty pins that people show in their finishes and never thought about making my own. The glue tip is a great one. I've also used the Gorilla Glue with the brush.. and mine have done the same as yours. I went through three tubes before I decided it wasn't worth it, but I wasn't sure what else to use.

You are such a good teacher. Thank you. This is likely a dumb question. How do you use counting pins? I assume to count stitches but not sure how it works! Do you count your stitches very much? I’m sure you have to be very careful that cats don’t get into your stuff! 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🌺
