He might be frustrated with the rate of recovery, but his body is telling him to not overdo things and rest. Sleep is a great healer, and I hope you are getting plenty of rest, too (stress can take a toll on you both). Hope all goes well with the CAT scan. Years ago, my daughter needed back surgery and was struck by how blessed we were to have good health care that paid for all but a few co-pays. Medical expenses can devastate a family's finances.

Those mill hill cardinals are gorgeous! And your frame color is perfection! I am thinking about you caring for your husband as we are going through a similar situation, only with a cancer diagnosis. It is hard for the caregivers...our stitching can certainly help us relax and keep going. God bless.

Bless your heart! I know it's difficult being the care giver. My husband suffered a compression fracture of his t12 vertibra in June and in the course of that, we found he had a 95 percent block of the major artery of his heart. So he got 2 stents put in. The pain is incredible. All that to say it's hard for a strong man to go through a weak time. So I'll pray for your hubby as I'm praying for mine. I'll bet you're feeling like I am when when I say, "I just want to sew!" Of course, I'm grateful, as I'll bet you are, to take care of him. You're in my thoughts and prayers!

Tell Clint to enjoy his naps. I had surgery and needed to nap every day for months. He will get back to his usual routine in time.

Till you go through it, it’s hard to understand so I appreciate what you said about your husband’s recovery and dealing with medical issues. Congrats on your the grand baby on the way! Did anyone have "ort" in their working vocabulary before cross stitching? I knew it only from crossword puzzles. Medical bills are terrifying. I hope your husband recovers soon. Congratulations on the new grandbaby! I can well imagine the toddler wore you both out. I have a cat who wants to go in. and out. and in. and out. and in. and out. Even a cat wears me out, and I don't have to worry about her getting into life-threatening danger, so sometimes I can just ignore her. And Kramer has a cat door at the back of the house, but she insists on the front door. Cats and toddlers. Lordy. lol
