@@scotthaymen4927 I didn’t get on the water until 4:15 yesterday lol. Fished until about 7:45. The rain never reached ft George. Get a radar app on your phone, really helps to dodge the storms👍
Ft George used to be an awesome area to fish before the new bridge was built. Anyone fishing it in a kayak or wading make sure you don’t keep a stringer in the water. There’s a deeper hole that holds big sharks. I had a 7-8ft bull shark eat a over slot trout right beside my kayak
Wow, that’s scary. I’ve always suspected there were big sharks in there due to the close proximity of the ocean. And I’ve seen giant tarpon. But I’ve never actually seen any sharks in the inlet. I know they’re around though because I’ve seen big bull sharks in Simpsons creek. Another good reason why I don’t use stringers lol
Thank you! I'm super new to kayak fishing and I've seen some people in videos using stringers but kept thinking about sharks/gators and how they wouldn't have any issue grabbing a quick snack like that 😂
