Flourish Baby Lock-bobbin thread showing up on the top of my embroidery

Dang!!!! It's been MANY years and this issue has come up again!!! I'm so glad I made this in my newbie stage because it helped me tonight (well it's 4:03am) but I googled the words and this was one video came up about the bobbin thread coming up on top of my embroidery.... Love, love how free I was making videos. More videos soon. I've had to relocate and move, moving is terrible. 😲

thank you for your video. This was the first time in 30 years that I have adjusted a bobbin. It worked. My New Brother Luminaire was out of the box. The first 45 embroidery stitches had more white thread on top. I already had the correct bobbin thread in it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have a Brother PE770 Embroidery Machine and am having the same problem all of the sudden. I have spent so many hours looking for a straight up answer if I rotate that screw CW or CCW.I know you said you did a video on the upper tension but was hoping you could either do another one or let me know where I can find that. I am having too much of the upper thread showing up on the bottom. My upper tension goes from -8 to +8, only in whole numbers. I have it set at +2. Do I need to take it to a higher positive numbers or to the direction of the negative numbers?

what should i do if this keeps happening (bobbin thread on top) and its not the bobbin case screw ,I replaced a needle and it has not been doing it before but now is ? Thank you

Thank-you for your video. Here are my thoughts on this topic, based on my experience and what my dealer has told me. Usually, when your bobbin thread shows in the embroidery, it's a top thread issue. My dealer and many people in my Facebook embroidery focus groups tell me to rethread and also check the bobbin to make sure it is - A - put in properly, and - B - the thread is where it needs to be. Sometimes, that thread-tail slips out of place and that's when you will have issues. Also, sometimes the needle needs changing, and the bobbin area cleaned out. Underneath the embroidery there should be 30% top thread, 30% bobbin, and 30% top thread, in that order. Top thread will bookend the bobbin thread, which will be in the middle. I was having issues with this, among other things, and took my machine in to my dealer. The girl there reset my machine to factory default (whatever THAT is) and I've been having gorgeous embroidery every since. I use prewound bobbins for embroidering (Janome brand works great!), as I've found self-wound bobbins troublesome. I recently purchased 2 cases of 5 spools each of the Finishing Touch and had problems almost immediately. Very bummed about that, too. :-( 10 spools of gorgeous bobbin thread, just sitting in my drawer, doing nothing. I have adjusted the tension only when I use metallic thread, (reduce by -1) and always through the right side of the machine in the systems section (its icon is a dog-eared page). I never mess with the screws inside the bobbin case. My dealer advises against it, so I leave it alone (more or less so I don't mess with my machine's warranty! LOL). You might find the Facebook focus groups Baby Lock Flourish/Aventura, and Machine Embroidery Enthusiasts helpful for your videos. I just bought the flourish 2 I did my third project and it broke 3 needles and now it keeps bunching and asking to rethread

Hi is it possible to just use white bobbin thread and just change the top? Also what should u do if the bobbin thread finishes and the design isn’t finished? Also mid way during a design is it possible to change the bobbin thread to match the top?

Does the 90 wt. bobbin thread come in different colors?

What weight is the top thread supposed to be and what weight is the bobbin supposed to be? I’ve been using 40 for both and having jamming issues

I didn't know were 90 or 40 wt ! I just checked mine and it says 60 wt...

One thing that really is annoying for me is your constant apology about your fingers and the lighting, you do a great job but leave out your negative comments.. I am looking forward to all your videos, and now using my Flourish 11 which was still in the box for months unused. Thank you for helping all the Embroidery owners to get there machines out and start enjoying all the possibilities for this machine..
