CAD designers in the jewelry industry use either RhinoGold, Matrix, or 3Design for jewelry modeling. The first two are Rhino 3D base plug-in and share a lot of the same commands with Rhino 3D. All three software has specific commands that are designed for stone flow and be more accurate in size for the jewelry industry. The goal of using "Flow Along Surface" command in Rhino3D is trying to achieve a similar result possible without having industry-specific software. "Flow Along Surface" on a very tight curve surface will result stretched. It may not be suitable for all design. If that is the case, you may need manually arrange the prongs and stones in Rhino 3D.

please please please make a video on how to make colet of heart, maquese and oval shape stones in push setting (Lock setting) please i am much confused in this.

what is colet? lock setting? do you mean invisible set?

@@PJChenJewelryDesign Sorry i typed wrong Its Kolet not colet. Here is the link of Kolet ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3XqcKMAONP0.html But i want to make in push setting ( lock setting ) Push setting means when we make a wax peice of any design and then we will put the stone in kolet with little pressure so the stone gets lock with its gridle inside the kolet with a sound tick..

if we use in dome surface it will be not accurate

close but not perfect.... :[ not very helpful because gems dont stretch at all...

After printing and casting the earrings set up great. The stretch was within the tolerance of the customers diamonds. Your correct that gems don’t stretch but they are also rarely as perfect as Cad stones.
