Yesterday, I hacked off a few branches from my crabapple tree. It grabs my car as I back out of the garage. Even though I've resigned myself to removing the blight-ridden tree (it's half dead on my neighbor's side) it did look better after removing those branches. I may have to clean up my cuts now that I put a fresh blade in my reciprocating saw.

I agree, I learned this from her. I had no idea that the spray I was using to get rid of the bad bugs would hurt my Honey Bees. It makes sense now that I think about it, but it doesn't cross your mind. I just wanted the Asian Beetles Gone that were eating my Roses.

Greetings from New Zealand! I love watching your pots and garden develop over the seasons but can I make a request? A garden the size of yours needs massive amounts of compost and I'm sure we'd all love to see your compost making system. Making compost is not everyone's cup of tea, I understand, but if you do, I'm sure it's beyond amazing and I'd to learn how you tackle recycling your gaden waste. Keep up the great work. Love your videos.

My pots need some more care today also. I had potato vines in 4 pots and I cut them way back because they just took over the pots. I didn't like their look. My petunias were doing so well but now they look very, very sad. Fertilized 2 days ago and trimmed them a little but after watching this video I will trim them a little more and see if they make a comeback. Going to use my new Falco trimmers that I got in the mail yesterday. Have a good day and hope your weather cools down a little.

Thank you so much for putting up with the heat to do this video and so many others. I have high heat in Portland OR; over 100 and I know its hard to get out there with it. For us to have high humidity; which we have had as well, I think that gets me even more than the heat. I love all your plants and I am constantly learning about new varieties of plants, thanks to you. I live in the subtropics in Qld, Australia and have a big battle with fungus, mildew, blackspot, scale, mealy bugs - just to name a few! 🥺 I take coleus fro granted here because will grow from cuttings and turn into trees if I let it.

"Look at that mess! Compared to ahhhhh so nice" Lol!!! I've decided this year I'm giving up on sweet potato vines! Water hogs and take over the pots. I need to find a good replacement though! #cancelled

Dichondra (sp) silver falls, ivy, and creeping Jenny are good spillers to replace sweet potato vine of course they dont get nearly as large and unruly but they are gorgeous

tired and dusty.. yup!! 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️ here, too... this time of year i'm ready for cooler temps and cutting back everything and regaining control, but alas, we are in for the long haul with our heat and humidity right now (we socal people don't like humidity either! lol) so i do what i can and mostly the theme is "water and keep them alive!"... i tried sweet potato vine, i love it, but yeah... i have no place to grow it, lol.. as you say: it's a beast!! budworms and aphids, ugh, too... and thank you for being an HONEST gardener - while i don't wish heat and bugs and hard work on anyone, it is nice to see that even the best of us have areas we don't get to when we want, etc... everybody just keep hangin' in.. cooler weather should be here some day!! thanks for the video!!

I've been hearing crickets for days. A sign cooler weather is coming. I'd better get a move on to ready my garden for fall.

Inspiring me to go do some work in my garden when I can catch a break from work! You reminded me that I need to fertilize and I haven’t done in about 3 weeks as I was away :(. I love super-bells but I am not lucky with them at all, alone or mixes with other plants. I tried to put at least 3 in my baskets and added more and still can’t get them to fill in. Only one basket where i also had a marigold did well, but now it is turning yellow again. I will blame it on the rain, but I trust I will give up on them next year.. with heavy heart ... thanks for all your great videos and god bless! 😊
