Did this come from the record? It sounds like a different mix than the cartoon intros. For instance, the electric piano is very quiet compared to other intros. Of course, on the other hand it's very clear. It's the first time I noticed he sings "She's WALTZING like the morning sun" and not "She's WALKING like the morning sun".
Yes it did come from the record. Someone uploaded a transfer of their copy to RU-vid, which I speed corrected and remastered. It does seem to be a different mix, as the original transfer felt very flat compared to the version in vhs.
You know, I’d been hoping a higher quality rip would eventually surface, but now that it’s here, I prefer the crusty original. Makes the bass and horns hit that much harder. Thanks for the work though, great this finally got dug up properly
As someone who went out of their way to watch all 4 episodes of this dub, I'm surprised just how messy Release The Bees' editing is. The final scene ("Looks like all the bees have returned." - "What are you going to do now?") actually happens about midway through the episode, with the scene beforehand actually not involving Julian (yes that's his name)'s bees at all. I don't remember the details I think it was a setup by Melicia (the show's main antagonist) Reynolds' staff (to separate Julian from Elaine) or something. Anyway it's a good anime you should watch it, subs might be the way to go though this dub kind of sucks.
