Thank you so much for this tutorial. I've followed you for over thirty years. You are such a good teacher and make beautiful flowers. Many teach how to make sugar flowers, but will not show how to put them onto cakes. This is excellent. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have been looking for this for so long. One of my challenges is how to put large flowers on the sides of cakes without them tearing down and falling off the cake. Any tips?
Hi Rachel, the best way will be to reduce the weight of your flower and using Hearty air drying clay as a medium could help you. It is non toxic so totally fine to use on a cake but weighs less than a 1/4 of sugar paste. You can also watch some of our previous videos using larger flowers with cakes on Sunflower cake decorating ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kdlInXiH3No.html and Succulents part 3 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tXAExBMkEQs.html we hope that helps :)
@@KatySueDesigns Thank you so much. This helps. Since I stay in a region where I can't access Hearty air drying clay, i will just stick to using smaller flowers or inserting them diagonally like you showed in your video. Thanks again.
Buen tutorial, pero deberían colocar los nombres de los moldes y de todo lo que usa. Tuve el gusto de verlo trabajar en So Flo CAKES Expo Miami . Gracias
