The flower stand is a woodworker's interpretation of the flower vendor's classic three-tiered display shelf. Norm built his version with hard-wearing medium density overlay plywood, a material favored by highway sign makers, and edged with decay resistant cypress. A twocoat paint job results in a handsome "black/green" garden finish, perfect for displaying a varied collection of plants and flowers.

One improvement I'd make,if this is meant to be on a deck rather than grass, would be to add caster wheels to the bottom to make it mobile

Before we use any power tools, let’s take a moment to talk about shop safety. Be sure to read, understand, and follow all the safety rules that come with your power tools. Knowing how to use your power tools properly will greatly reduce the risk of personal injury. And remember this: There is no more important safety rule, than to wear these, safety glasses.

Imagine a pair of these made of quarter-circles (no straight sections) in the corners of a room and covered with white poinsettias.

7:55 not quite right on the last letter Norm! I like the design of this stand - doesn't look too bulky and the curves give it some elegance.

Hello Norm and to anyone here who works in trade, I want to ask if someone was looking into carpentry or learning how to build houses and wanted to go to a school for carpentry do you or anyone here happen to know where I could find one in the North Texas area? I think the better question to ask is where should I go and look if I wanted to consider going into the carpentry/house building trade? I know where I can find places that train welders, HVAC technicians, and plumbers, but places that teach carpentry are harder to find.

I think this is one of the few times I’ve heard the air compressor for the nail gun.

Beautiful and yes Norm remembered the dust collection for the surface planer unlike when he did the screen! And also you don't have to build it because garden centers have version out of metal to use! Places like Home Depot have ones if they no longer use for displaying pay by scan plants and live goods to like snatch them up, throw in the back of the truck, fix it up, and there you go! And since it's metal, you don't have to worry about rust!

@@Ea-Nasir_Copper_Co Depends on the metal you use, I know stainless steel doesn’t for sure!
