Sounds good! Does your engine whistle at higher RPMs? sounded kind of like it. Thought I heard something that sounded exactly like mine, which I can’t locate.
That sound amazing, I've been looking to do the same thing to my '79 F-150 w/302! Are you running dual pipes with dual flowmasters or two pipes into one flowmaster with dual outs?
Awesome truck with a great sound! I have a set of genuine Ford hub caps just like those in the garage. They belonged to my grandpa originally...but the F150 is gone sadly.
@@garneracI took them off the truck when he gave it to me as a gift in high school. I wanted American Racing Outlaw I wheels. I had to be "cool" on the street. And I never put them back on. I couldn't sell them now.
Sounds great. I just put a Super 44 on my F150 although mines newer (99' with 4.6 with 4 factory cats) Sounds great, not too loud, not too quiet. Love the flowmaster better than the magnaflow and cherry bomb I had prior. Nice deep, mellow rumbly growl with no drone.
@@garnerac awesome! I'm gonna be trying to sure up a 302 for a 91 F-150 4x4 Been worried to put a cam in it because I want to build it for more low rpm torque.
I have an 03' in need of a new exhaust. Trying to decide what series Flowmaster I want- I think I just found it:-). Not obnoxious, but has a nice rumble to it:-)
Hey man, how loud is this on the highway? I'm assuming you have a 3 or 4 speed in that truck. I have a 66 newport with a 383 mated with a 3 speed manual. The exhaust it currently stock but I'd really like to have a little bit of grumble when she is idling, but I don't want to deal with a really loud exhaust.
Not sure how to answer this but I think its pretty quiet while driving. I added floor insulation when I replaced the carpet while restoring. I would consider them moderately quiet
@@garnerac appreciate the answer. I just found out about varex mufflers which have an internal valve that can open and close to go from a straight pipe to a stock muffler, I might end up going that route.
@@garnerac Did you put in a crate motor or remanufactured ? I’ve got an original 1984 302. It was run on propane for years then switched back to gas only a few years ago. I’m assuming there should be minimal carbon buildup. Just curious which route you chose. Thanks. She sounds beautiful.
