All I got to say is you just saw the Black Mamba in action folks and he was cutting Floyd off....wonderful stuff..you got the Black Mamba training you....you better be good or you will get KO'ed. Think about it folks.
floyd would school GGG period. GGG's last fight with Curtis Stevens exposed GGG for being way too slow to stop the right hand counters. Floyd would tax that ass.
Floyd acknowledge pacquiao cut on the ring.. Pacquiao can easily get near to floyd but the left shoulder of pacqiao has problem.. May weather did not control the fight for tge whole round... In mexico they had pacquiao up by unanimous decision
floyd has arguably the best defense of all time in boxing history he refuses to take punishment which is the purpose of effective boxing. Ali is the greatest but look how he ended up because he let dudes beat up on em if he could go back he would probably be more defensive minded but this is just another win for floyd
You can tell FM still runs drills people who say he is running don't know jack. He never crosses his feet so his center of gravity never changes even when he changes direction and angles the sweet science there is so much to this sport it is just beautiful. Just got to know what you are looking at.
Never understand why people come on his page to just to hate. How do you talk bullshit to someone who no one can beat. Undefeated! Can't wait for the next win Floyd!
0:16 I know Roger is like 50 years old but that is a classic example of why you can't just hit Floyd mayweather. you see how he ducks, smothers roger's attack which defeats the incoming right hand and how he turns his body. that was instinct. AND they were just playing around.
The only thing standing in Floyd's way, is him potentially overtraining like he did against Cotto. As of right now, he has gotten strong as HELL. He's gonna cut Canelo's face up like never before, and overwhelm him with Multiple combinations.
You definitely know boxing. Most mexican fans worship this guy and know nothing about who he fought. Man Im just happy that its finally happening. This will be the greatest day in boxing history damn near, and the undercard will be amazing! This shit got everybody happy, and we're all talkative and in joyous mood!!! #TheOne
He has last before that, one loss got converted into a "No contest" where he was getting his ass kicked. He was on his way to getting outboxed against a Indonesian fighter but Guerrero got cut and the doctor stopped it, saving him from a loss. If a fight gets stopped on a cut before the 4th round, it's a "No decision" and nobody wins or losses.
this is called drills it's a technique Boxers use to maintain center of gravity he never crosses his legs his movement flows and he stays on the ball of his feet in order to change direction. This is far from running homie but you got to be able to understand what you are looking at
That wasn't the arguement I had with the Broner kid. I said prior to the fight that Floyd would control the range with his footwork and jab, fire periodic combinations, but not stay in exchanges. Broner said Floyd would do to him what he did to Gatti. He did not stand in Canelo's face. He move a lot. In the 12th he ran. Now it was a good boxing performance and I agree, Canelo was foolish for trying to box Floyd. The only way anyone 154 or below beats Floyd is to Jake La Motta him.
Guerrero was a hand picked C level fighter who only had one gear and who smothered his punches every time he tried throwing a combination. Canelo is stylistically different and showtime network forced Canelo as an opponent because of the poor PPV sales for Guerrero/May. Nobody believed in Guerrero despite their effort to try and sell him as a killer. That's why this fight is at a catchweight, Floyd is trying to get any little advantage he can over this young beast.
This time it will be his style. I made my comment, because I already know whats been going on in camp. I never said Floyd is stronger than Canelo, but he has improved his power GREATLY and Canelo will be shocked. Floyd has something special for Canelo's stamina. Floyd is going to stand in front of him at times, and overwhelm him with combinations. Floyd Sr's codeword for turning the heat up on Canelo is quote unquote; 'Go and Get Em' Floyd is NOT going to fight anything like he did againts Ghost
Yea but this was that groundbreaking performance that will push him over the bar. For him to have a mega fight this huge, and everyone's expecting him to box. Then he shocks the world and walks Canelo down, victimizing him against the rops, throwing combinations, standing his ground, bullying Canelo. This is the type of performance that would set any fighter over the edge! I wanna see Floyd fight at 168. He will walk down, and beat up most 160lbers!
in my opinion floyds prime was in 2001 - 2002 when he was fighting around lightweight he's slowed down so much since then which is to be expected because he is 36.. back then though he took tough fights and won them all except i think he lost the 1st fight against castillo but beat castillo easily in the rematch
Prepare to be shocked. Its going down in 2 days bro. I agree fighters dont start punching harder at 36. But Floyd has finally started getting into weight lifting, & even in videos, you can tell that his biceps now look like paintcans. He WILL be punching harder. He will NOT trade with Canelo. He's just going to stand IN FRONT of him without getting hit, and overwhelm him because Canelo has stamina issues, and when he gets tired, Floyd is going to turn into a beast. It will look like Pac vs Cotto
Key word, he grew up WATCHING he's never been in the ring with em & Floyd always addresses that from the outside it looks easy but once you're in the Dog House it's totally different..Lol But I'm a FMJ fan & I doubt that he'll have an easy time with Saul. He's definitely no Guerrero. I actually am rooting for Canelo to give Floyd a tough fight & bring the best out of em. When Floyd wins I can hear the world saying, "Oh Canelo was too young anyway." Lol But we'll see on 14 de septiembre.
You have a great point but at the same time if Mayweather was as great as he says he is he would be able to be a little more aggressive! Roy Jones, Ray Leonard, Ali etc. were fighters that could give you plenty action and still not get hit alot that's why they're the greatest . . .
I have been watching Floyd for 10 years now at the least honestly i am over hearing "He hasn't faced anyone like me i will be the guy to beat Floyd i am faster big stronger etc etc etc" bla bla bla shut up over it Floyd is once in a generation this man was born to fight.
Floyd walked that bigazz dude down and looked allot like Broner, but Floyd moves on his feet in small instinctive spurts. Floyd was physically stronger than Canelo. Canelo sat there and let Floyd push him, and force him around the ring. I couldnt even believe my eyes. Floyd fights like a beast that Canelo was trapped in the ring with lol. I could see Floyd's face react to Canelo's body shots, but Floyd just took the pain and walked right through them. This was an ATG LEGENDARY Beatdown by Floyd!
It was what I expected of Mayweather. And of Canelo too. As I was watching the fight my buddy said to me "You're right, Canelo is doing just what you thought he would." Nobody soon is going to outbox Mayweather. He's too fast, defense is too tight, footwork is too good. But Canelo did not look like a trapped animal. Watch Michael Spinks when he fought Mike Tyson - there he looks trapped. And he was.
You make a great point. Canelo is a better body puncher then the pervious failures you mentioned I must say. However if Canelo is going to be dedicated going to Floyd's body then Floyd is going to counter punch the piss out of him to the head.
canellos game tactics were wrong, he thought that floyd will go backwards and run, so he didnt chase him and waited for floyd in the hope of countering floyd lol, but that didnt work, floyd is to smart and stood toe to toe with him for the first half and even to my suprise beat canello in the exchange, say what u want but floyd truly outclassed canello, and its even more amazing that he stood and was in canellos face, un fucking believable. sure canello did come forward but got whooped.
theyre different fighters bro.. everyone knows Mayweather is defensive boxer, he is known for being a more tentative puncher and ususally throws his shots after his opponent throws his combos. that doesnt mean offensive fighters suck. also, there are SOME talented boxers in the MMA like Ricardo Mayorga and Conor Mcgregor.
I'd be shocked if Floyd did that. Fighters don't suddenly start punching harder at age 35. Floyd never stands and trades with a guy. Why would he do that now against arguably the hardest puncher he's ever faced? That would be stupid - and Floyd isn't stupid.
i don't see how floyd would've beat pacquiao like 4 years ago when pacquiao was in his prime lol pacquiao threw so many punches and was so fast and powerful and he throws punches from weird angles and fights fearless he would've beat floyd then.. he was a machine in 2008 - 2009 he just doesn't take boxing as serious now as he use to because he has a lot of other things to worry about outside of boxing
And he was. Oh, and as for the fight with Danny - it will be at 147 or a catch weight.
Maybe for the first few rounds , but then don't be surprised if Mayweather starts to walk Canelo down. And that will be the real test for Canelo, keeping up when Mayweather turns it on him.
This is ignorant. Pacquio has won titles in eight weight divisions. He is the only man in history to do that. Whatever you want to say about him or his style, saying he sucks is just plain stupid.
If Floyd fights Danny he should fight at 140! Make it more of a challenge! Floyd really let his hands go, and really wanted to make a statement. I dissagree with you on him sitting on his punches. Floyd looked like an animal that Canelo was trapped in the ring with! Floyd didnt hurt Canelo, because Canelo is too big for Floyd. People in Canelo's own weight class, cant hurt him! Whatever the case, great fight by Mayweather!
If running is all floyd does to win then it makes sense to say all these boxers r very dumb brawling but is it is not then Floyd is really a genius. They say what an old man can see sitting a child cannot see standing September 14 Canelo will face a test and hopefully after the lost he learns his lesson and take that with him to become the best after floyd
Maybe. I doubt it. It's not his style.Floyd's a measured fighter. He'll never be stronger than Canelo, who's naturally bigger. Floyd is smart enough to know that. I expect he'll control the fight with footwork and his jab. You'll see fewer right crosses because Canelo likes to hook to the body as a counter... and he hits hard there. Floyd knows this, so he'll be sparing with creating that opening.
I agree that Danny and Lucas are too small. And they're too slow as well. Good fighters, but not strong enough or fast enough to trouble Floyd. But don't be surprised if Danny is his next opponent. Floyd didn't KO Canelo (or even really hurt him) because he didn't plant and throw enough power punches to do so. He never does. Not his style. Floyd can fight all the guys you mentioned for sure - Martinez might have been trouble, but I don't think he has anything left. GGG - a bridge too far.
No, that's actually called boxing. The name of the game is to hit and not get hit. The name of the game is not to take so much punishment that you wind up getting permanent brain damage
