It's funny that people talk about Floyd running all the time. He literally sat in the pocket this WHOLE fight. Paid for it by eating 2 of the biggest shots of his life, came forward anyway smothering Mosley, and then DOMINATED the rest of the fight. But no know wants to talk about that tho (shrugs)

You know it amaze's me that when Floyd makes a top ranking opponent look bad in the ring, these commentators start making excuses for Floyds opponent. "He's over trained, he's old, he's too small, etc. "He's just the best boxer in the world", Manny would not last 12 rounds against Floyd.
It's funny, in my opinion, that this announcer had the galls to say that Mayweather is exciting before the first bell while Mosley is exciting after the first bell. These are the small details that makes you realize that these people really don't like the guy. If you hate the way the guy fights, fine, however, ts not necessary to talk negative about the guy. It's all about winning, and Mayweather is doing just fine, in my opinion.
He always say something slick like that. Then after a thrilling second round he says this is nothing more than a good sparring match. All three of these guys make me sick.
This IMO is the best WW version of floyd he is still very.fast but looks strong and big, today he is still very good but there is a noticeable difference.
To all you guys who somehow think Shane was paid to lose, was he also paid to land those two right hands which almost had mayweather on the canvas? Was he paid to continue going for the knock out after he had hurt mayweather? And Shane didn't "turn off" and not try to land the same punch the rest of the fight. If you're actually watching, Shane continues to try dozens of times to land the same shot, he basically doesn't actually do much else actually, then try to land that same shot, the right hand after a Jab to the body. 1:00:30 is a perfect example. Shane tries the same shot again and eats a counter for it. This happened continuously after round 2
@5:35 all facts why this guy skill level is so good. and no one else matches him no matter how good they look.like it says he throws few punches per round. but lands damn near everything which helps his energy supply how come all these other so called threats and people they consider better then him dont put out these types of stats?
But what would that strategy look like pitted against a guy like Pacman who can evade punches with his fantastic footwork, head movement and speed while ferociously pressing his opponent heat-seeking missile-like combinations?

Why is Larry Merchant a boxing commentator? Who hired him and what qualifies him. I've boxed my entire life and because of that know everything there is to know about the sport. At times you can damn near hear the hatred in this dudes voice when talking about some fighters and he hardly ever say anything knowledgeable

Mosely caught Floyd in the 2 rnd/ but mayweather adjustment made Mosley become so defensive he was scared to box he wanted to fight.. Floyd took his Time and beat Shane to every punch .. Fight was done!
Floyd mayweater wanted the best fighters in the world, but he only got them later in his career and many fights never came off. like tszyu,pacquiao,margarito,Williams but is till think he would of beat all of them and still has a chance for the pacquiao fight

Two things. 1) Once Mosley hurt Mayweather, Mayweather came out the next round going straight at Mosley, this threw him off his game, cause Mayweather had felt what was likely Mosley's hardest one punch to both the chin and temple and was still there. Mosley wasn't getting him with one shot. 2) If you watch the mistake Mayweather made when he got tagged those two times and Shane's money response to it. Floyd went out there and soon after within the next roundish he intentionally baited the same mistake, Mosley tried to counter with the same money shot but Mayweather countered him immediately before he could reply. That was essentially Mayweather daring Mosley to try the same counter again, when Mosley tried, Mayweather showed his answer. Which meant Mosley wasn't gonna get away with it again, so he'd need to figure out something else. Problem is, Mosley didn't have anything else, he had his biggest hope the last round, and then a round later Mayweather had figured it out, and was now baiting him with with it, and Mosley knew by the end of round 4 that the fight was over for him.

Floyd got rocked because he started off the fight uncharacteristically angry and a bit overaggressive. This fight, the De La Hoya fight and the Gatti fight he really seemed pissed off. It was personal.
Mosley's awkward jerky movements gs 've Mayweather Jr problems at first. He couldn't catch his rhythm, but ultimately that movement helped to tire Mosley.
im a floyd fan(not a floyd follower but a floyd fan) and i always hear him talk abuot the size of pacquiaos head and getting larger but mayweather started at something like what 126 i think he was in his younger years but here and ever after this fight his head got bigger looking at least and here he is pushing around a middleweight (and in the canelo fight people were talking about how much stronger canelo looked but i think mayweather looked stronger and more cut than canelo personally) and canelo was a strong middleweight. i really would like to see mayweather fight people like ward and ggg more than pacquiao. cause floyd is so damn strong and quick and skilled he could win more at middleweight, i get why hes staying at welterweight cause he has no problem making weight and even knowing him he could fight 140 still. imagine what he would do to someone like garcia haha. hwes just too damn good,
It actually happened! Not in the first fight but in the second one, I think it was at the end of round 5, Floyd did a pull counter and took a flash right hand... he was lucky it was at the end of the round but it shows he has a good chin. He took a couple of good shots from Cotto too, who punches better than Maidana.
+Sweet Science it also happened in the first fight, but it wasn't really noticed because Floyd basically walked through it. It was the exact same punch, hitting Floyd with a right after the pull counter

Floyd isnt a great fighter, he just has great management that have kept him away from anyone who is their prime, and made stipulations to make sure Floyd was at an advantage... De La Hoya, Mosley, Cotto, Judah, and they all gave him a fight even when they were over the hill and done with their careers... and the others all over rated fighters promoted by Golden boy, Guerrero, Hatton, Ortiz, Canelo, Baldomir... Canelo had terrible Management putting him into fighting Floyd when he wasnt ready and making Canelo lose 4 pounds of muscle cause you not losing fat... the others completely over rated, Maidana is a good fighter but at 140 not 147 but gave Floyd a fight...
