I've had the Signature Series Home Theater Speakers for over a year now and I've been happy with mine . I drive them with a Outlaw 5000x Amp rated 120watts 5 channel through my Denon X2700H AVR and man they come alive on movies and music . Fluance, I think you guys have a pretty good product. Thanks.
I love these! Been searching for somtehing like these for over 50 years. As a audiophiler, my listening pleasure is Image. I have been seaching for something that makes musicians sound like they are in the room with you. These meet that and more, For instance, I have listened to recordings with these and heard instruments I never heard before. With that said, I asked my 33 year old son what his favorite recording was. As he listened to it with these speakers he stepped back and said, "Wow! I hear instruments I never heard before. It feels like their in the room with you." At that point I knew what I heard earlier was not a figment of my Imagination. Eureka! ,,,,,,,,,Now I listen to a lot of different music, Frank Sinatra, Patsy Cline, Nat Kig Cole, Alan Jackson, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Classical, Hip Hop. etc........They all sound like I am really hearing them for the very first time, Fantastic!
I am a newbie in the home theater world. Fluance Signature Series are my speakers of choice. I use them in 7.1 configuration (bookshelves, center and bipolar)... my subs are B.I.C. Acoustech PL-200II (x 3) I am satisfied and pleased. Until I upgrade to something better I am fine with these. I would recommend these to anyone as an entry-level speaker for a home theater.
Bic America makes some very good speakers...I have their top of the line towers in my home theater and 6.5 inch mid tower for my rears. Their 8 inch center channel speaker is also amazing. I don't have their subwoofer as I have a very high end 15 inch. I recently just upgraded my desktop audio and opted for the Kanto YU6 speakers and a Monolith 10 inch subwoofer... absolutely amazing sound.
I had both the signature series and SX6 (not to he confused with the surrounds included in the SX home theater pack). I preferred the SX6 dynamics, bass(no chuffing), the only cons being harshness at high volumes but for a desktop setup they are awesome! The signature series are more refined but the weak bass and port chuffing:s ruins their ability to be mains without a subwoofer. They do throw a larger Soundstage than the SX6's though and sound great for surround duties.
For desktop I have found the Vanatoo T1E to be superb with nearly every connection possible too, I would like your take on how they compare with the others in this Speaker Review series.
*OK, so plug the ports, put an EQ on it and steep-roll off the input signal at their rated HZ response and add 2 8inch sealed SUBS. Sit the subs behind the Fluance and point them towards each other @ center. Add a steep-high-pass roll-off to the sub, rolling them off where the Fluance is at and BAAM!!!!! There you have a FULL SCALE, FULL ON FULL RANGE set-up, for the low-low*
*#1 you speakers are way to close to your listening position. #2 those speakers are further separated from each other than they are to your listening position. RULE #2 When determining proper Reference YOU MUST give the speakers room to breath and move air B4, the audio reaches your ears IE: listening position.*
