I stumbled on your channel. I was sad for a minute because I forgot all about Chiffon cake. My Aunt Lillie was the only person I ever knew that could make a beautiful, angel chiffon cake.I haven't had this cake in over 30 years. You did a wonderful job. The strawberries look so delicious. I will attempt this for my birthday. Happy baking🎉
My aunt would make lemon flan with only egg yolks, and so with the excess egg whites would make lemon Angel chiffon cake. Those days are some of my fam’s faves. All very happy tummies.

This is literally the best recipe ever!!! It turned out INCREDIBLE!!! I just want to say thank you so much Aya for all your hard work on your channel!! I am so grateful!! I appreciate you and all your efforts. So much love!! Warm regards, Dee.
Thank you so much for the recipe!!! I made this yesterday, and our family loves it! The cake is so soft and moist and just the perfect amount of the sweetness!
I ought to try making that cake, because it reminds me of the famous strawberry cream cake at the bakery I used to go to as a kid, near my church. That looks delicious!
I loved it, it was so fresh, light and airy. Perfect for summer. I changed the whipped cream from using granulated sugar to powdered sugar. I wasn't sure if it would be grainy so I didn't try it. And I made the jam with frozen strawberries cuz that's what I had.
Today's my brother's birthday, we don't have strawberries available rn, but I'll make a simple vanilla cake following your recipe. Also I love watching your videos after a tough day, it's relaxing, and your bake goodies look SO GOOD HAHA, keep it up, Much love 💖
Looks amazingly delicious! Whenever I’m in Japan, I always make sure to eat as much strawberry chiffon cake as I can! I loved Fujiya when they were in business back in the day. Visiting Peco Chan dressed in her different costumes was fun.
Yes, I agree! It really helps to understand by visually seeing it instead of just ‘saying’ it! A lot of channels don’t do that. I actually find this channel a lot easier to follow the recipes, and she has such a calming voice too 🙂😊
Gracias por tan excelente manera de presentar la receta, me encanto que pusieras las unidades de medida en onzas y también en gramos, eso garantiza el éxito de la receta, de nuevo gracias, continuaré viendo tus publicaciones❤❤❤
just made this cake and it turned out great! the sponge is so soft and springy! definitely not too sweet and my family loved it! When making the strawberry jam, though, i would turn the heat all the way down and allow it to cool through slowly as my first batch did burn fairly quickly on medium heat. thank you!! :))
HiAya, I can't wait to try it ,And you even made the filling ! You made it look easy .I made 4 cakes chocolate my sons love my baking and i must say it was good. I love baking I've been doing it for about three yrs. Getting much better thank you so much because strawberry cakes i love over choc. Ill make it this sunday n i can't wait........
Thanks for your fantastic and informative video recipes. It's great how you include tips and explanations. Also you are a spatula star!! It's an amazing tool for baking and you show this well. It's annoying how many videos on youtube, show ingredients being tipped from containers and so much left behind in them! Food waste and more washing up! I am looking forward to trying this recipe and also the moist lemon pound cake with lots of lemon. Thanks from Aotearoa New Zealand
I love your channel! You are very talented and very thorough! ! I am so excited to see more of your recipes! Thank you so much for being so thoughtful and helping us learn more!
I tried this today for my daughter’s Bday. Everybody loves it!!!! Although I was struggling with the measurements. Can you use cups instead of oz? 😅 overal it turned out Well. ❤
Beautifully made video and really calmly presented. I so wanted to make it for my daughter in law’s birthday but was put off by some reviews. Will try sometime when it’s just for my husband, lol. X
I love these types of cakes. You can put them in the fridge, take out and serve immediately if you choose to. I've made several of them. With and without a water bathe. The only downside is the amount of shrinkage they can produce. I'm not a pro baker but I'm also not a beginner and yet I've only been able to make one of these without the shrinkage once. While it doesn't effect the taste of the cake it can make stacking and frosting them a bit more challenging. One more thing. Since more eggs are used in this type of cake to give it lift (whites to be exact) these can taste a bit eggy. The easiest solution I've found is to add more vanilla. I'm about to check out your chocolate and banana recipe. Since I've used up all of my strawberries maybe that's the one I'll try. Thanks for the recipe...
The solution I’ve found is to not use parchment paper or oil and let the cake stick to the pan and cool it off upside down. No shrinkage has happened to me ever with that method.
@@drawmuu I only put parchment paper down on the bottom because those types of cakes need something that's non stick to grab onto but I've never turned it upside down to cool. Thanks for sharing that suggestion. I'll give it a try... 👍
Haha I thought it was cute you show you daughter being a popstar 😂😊 I like how kids are so carefree. The recipes on this channel look really good and professional. I will definitely be baking and trying these
I just made this for Mother’s Day today and it turned out so delicious! 😍 The sweetness is perfect and just like how I remember when I tasted one in Korea. One thing I hate about American cakes is that its soooo sweet that it makes me feel nauseous lol. But this cake is the perfect amount to satisfy a craving without feeling guilty. Thank you Aya 💗
@@PastryLivingwithAya of course! Oh and your chocolate cake too was divine! I had my husband try a piece and his reaction was priceless! There’s still a ton more of your recipes I wanna try! 🥰💕
My 4-year-old daughter is demanding we make this cake when we finally get back in our house (we're displaced from a hurricane that happened last year and messed our house up, long story). I've never made a cake from scratch, but I guess we're going to have to try this, it looks SO good. Gorgeous and surely tastes just as good as it looks.
Aww how sweet🥹 I'm so sorry about what happened to your house... and I wish I could just deliver it to you guys!!! Let me know if there is anything I can do for her vertually🎂
@@PastryLivingwithAya Aww, thank you! It's finally getting fixed now, but we can't actually afford this at all, we're waiting on this crazy process of fighting for the insurance company to do the right thing - so, one thing that would be super helpful is a prayer that that all works out right
Questa con la panna e le fragole è una delle mie torte preferite e non è nemmeno difficile. Puoi anche mettere una chantilly in mezzo invece della panna montata.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your recipe. Were the pans you used for the water bath 10"? How much larger a size would you recommend for the water bath?
Looks lovely.. Small tip.. To get a stable whipped cream that won't collapse , soften a couple of Tbs of Philadelphia cream cheese or similar by whipping , then add to the cream and sugar and whip until desired consistency.. You won't taste the cheese but it helps lightly firm up the cream.. Forgot to ask, what happens if you use butter instead of oil? Or a combination? Would appreciate ratios if this can be used.. Thank you
Wow ,what a coincidence Ian trying to make make a cake for my daughter her name is Aya too ,I will definitely let her know that your name is Aya and this cake from your channel, thank you ❤
What is the temperature of the water bath. Is it boiling water or just warm water. Please specify if possible the temperature of the water bath. Love your channel. Many thanks. You are such a great baker. Could I use pandan water instead of milk? Please advise and thanks again.
Does the flour used for the cake contain a percentage of baking powder? The question is, when using regular flour should I put baking powder or is this cake not used in baking powder?
This cake looks gorgeous, i really want to try it! May I ask, if my oven can only bake one pan at a time, will the second cake be okay or will it has different textures? Thank you!
Looks beautiful as a piece of art I kept watching it for more than four times Thank you Aya for your continuing efforts ❤ Would you pls make a video to how to calculate the recipes if we want to use different pan size and shapes Thank you again
Hi. Did you flip the pans After the cakes were cool or did you cool them upside down. Because your cakes are gorgeous andhaven't sunk down which happen with mine
