Wow.well done.that’s what I call talent you painted a sky and land with just pouring the paint.but you controlled it and manipulated it to look like it was just painted with a brush.it’s not just pouring paint and blowing it with a hairdryer.wonderful work.👏👌
At 11:01 the landscape got at its BEST - having little harbors! And the sky was just Amazing! And the ratio between the sky and the land 3:1 is just Perfect! Very often artists over work their paintings loosing the TRUE BEAUTY! But Emilie is a TRUE artist - her colors combo are Amazing and she shows to the Fluid Art lovers-artists that the cells are not that important - without them artwork could be even more Beautiful and Meaningful! Thank you, Emilie, Very much for your experiments with the Fluid Art technique - you're a True Inspiration to many artists!:)
Hi Emilie. Have just seen your video for the first time . I love landscape pouring , yours takes it to the next level. It was an omg moment when I saw the detail in the finished mountains. Absolutely magnificent!!
Just gorgeous. And like a real sky, yours moved and evolved, with beautiful cloud formations being replaced with new beautiful cloud formations. You should be proud of that sky...it's magnificent, and the land compliments it very well with depth and contrast. Again, it's such a quiet painting which is an aspect of your work (of what I've seen so far) that really resonates with me. And your choice of palette is spot on. I can't compliment you enough! I look forward to seeing more.
This is beautiful 💖 It brought me back to early morning sunrises at my grandparent's house when my sister & I would sleep outside on their deck. Mt, Rainier would turn those same colours as it reflected the morning sun. I never tire of a sunrise or sunset... I hope you post again soon! 🤗
This is the first video of yours I have seen. The attention to detail is amazing and the outcome shows it. What a lovely finished product. I will definitely be watching more!
I’m so grateful to have found you! My passion is to do something similar on recycled glass with resin, in layers. Until now I have been working in layers and allowing each to cure. I’ve learned so much watching these videos and am forever grateful! I’m currently waiting to be able to afford a quality full face mask because I’ve developed a sensitivity and resin is so pricy. I think I’m going to start playing with acrylics, your way, while I’m saving. I wish I could attach an image of one of my pieces. Many thanks!
The land, although only such a small section of the painting, has amazing depth, with that light and shadow on the hills. Reminds me of driving through the Anza - Borrego desert.
I just found your videos, which I've watched several times. I love your art! You're so talented, and I really hope you will return to posting more of your fabulous paintings on RU-vid.
You are welcome and thanks 😊 I have been struggling to find the time and motivation to paint as well. I find a little time away can be a good thing so there is always hope.
Thank you! I haven’t made any videos for quite a while and took a pause from painting after a promotion at work made it hard to find the time. Appreciate you watching and commenting ☺️
Where have you been Emilie? I just found you today with this gorgeous piece! ♥️ Your skies are like the Arizona desert where I live. The past few years I have enjoyed UTube videos and getting inspired with other acrylic pouring artists! You definitely have inspired me to try landscapes with this technique! I just subscribed to your channel! Please know that your art is inspirational and I cannot wait to see what you create next!♥️
Thank you! I have struggled capturing our AZ desert but it is very inspirational. I haven’t been creating videos but still create couple things each month and post on IG. I wish you success on landscapes - they can be a challenge but so much fun!
Yes I usually start with a dry canvas, load my initial layers of paint into a funnel and let that start everything off. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Sorry for the late response! It’s all trial and error and experience. I’ve grabbed funnels that were too small and I’ve overloaded a small canvas using a large funnel. After a while you just know what size is going to get you where you wanna go…or you run out of clean funnels and just wing it 😂.
My colors are all random mixes. A lot of the time, I add a couple colors to salvaged paint or eyeballing my own colors from scratch or combine a couple mixes etc. I wish I could tell you but honestly how they all come together is a bit chaotic and hard to remember. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Silly question, but where do you get those cups with the hole on the bottom? I’m new to pour painting and haven’t seen this before, but I really need to get them. This painting is beautiful!
Beautiful piece 😍 i can see you haven't been active for a long time. I hope you someday see this message, and maybe feel up to making more beautiful landscapes 🙂 i myself has been quit on my channel for a long time, and now the energy, motivation and inspiration hos come back, and i will for sure try a landscape like yours. Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
Thank you for finding me and taking the time to comment! I haven’t been very active lately but it means a lot when I do catch up and I have comments like this. I look forward to checking out your work!
Interesting! It wouldn’t work for me specifically because I need the small opening of the funnel to direct paint under the initial bubble of paint but I think that is a cool idea to explore
New subscriber here, Emilie...so impressed with your work and your great teaching! I am uploading a video tomorrow and giving a plug to your channel...hope to send some subscribers your way! Thank you!
Thanks so much! I had been taking a little break recently but decided to check back in to some social media today and oh boy am I encouraged to get back to creating!
When there is only medium at play and no intentionality it is hardly art....a lot of so called "abstract art" falls in this category. This technique however is in the right direction...and could be developed to achieve an artistic goal.
