Awesome work, Chris. I'm enjoying Fluid Engine but do wish it offered site-wide control over layouts. Simply duplicating a page won't work for larger sites that require frequent design (or content structuring) changes. Also, I can't believe that Squarespace still doesn't allow for tiered pages (i.e., nested folders, depth of navigation, etc); we shouldn't have to rely exclusively on the blog feature for content-heavy sections, especially where that particular format doesn't quite work (eg: in the case of tutorials, directories, etc). If they're going to seriously approach the enterprise market (as they've already begun to do), Squarespace should definitely consider all of the above.

I know they are considering many more improvements that will speed up/make custom designs more usable: like saving block layouts for quick reuse. But I agree, as of right now Squarespace is only good for certain types of projects. Definitely not a one size fits all solution.

Looks great, how does it go on Tablet?
@SEWebDesign
@SEWebDesign Год назад
Squarespace keeps the tablet view the same as desktop, at screen sizes of 767px and lower it switches to the mobile layout

@@SEWebDesign came across your other video explaining the tablet issue shortly after watching this first one. It looks amazing on desktop and mobile but I don’t get how Squarespace think the tablet issues are acceptable for their customers. It’s really embarrassing as a web designer checking client sites in tablet.

@@SEWebDesign On the plus side, how great is the new heart icon on sections to save your own custom layouts! Long time coming, so happy that has been added.
