I am deeply saddened to see that there is not even a wikipedia page on this great flautist. Probably nobody cares for him, as he was never a 'mainstream' player and never cared to play the sabha politics of Madras?
KSG is a great flute masteo based in Trivandrum, Kerala. He has performed worldwide. A saint like person , a hardcore lover of Carnatic music. I am a deep most fan of him and had the luck of many live programs in Bombay. Accompanying are Babu Narayanan on violin, Thiruvanantapuram V Surendran on Mridangam
I also admire his great artiste. I had heard him first time at the Akashwani sangeet sammelan in 1992 at Salem. I have more respect for him , because my father's name is also K.S.Gopalakrishnan :)
Such a great Flautist of this era. KSG sirs playing is very soulful and is beyond words. The Sahitya being played is very clear and one can experience as if it is a Vocal concert. KSG sirs flute playing melody is fantastic. We are so fortunate to listen to this divine music. Thank you very much for uploading such a wonderful concert video
Devine and soulful rendering. KSG is a sincere and devoted artist. Excellent Bhava and laya are integral part of his music. You can keep listening to this wonderful artist.
Sir, how super, indeed, so great you are .... really you are a gift of God for the entire world. l love your rendition so much. How blessed are students.... 🍇🍈🍉🍐🍏🍎🍋🍊🍍🥑🍑
Great rendering. The experience and confidence of a seasoned musician-- playing with raga and thala is very much seen and exhibited by KSG. Soul stirring rendering. Hats off KSG Sir!!! The melody in Carnatic music is so much more enchanting compared to Hindustani music. Pranams to Thyagaraja Swami!!!
Hi. For the listeners as well as KSG Sir, this Andolika ragam gives pleasure in abundance. Open question. Does this a lilting towards Churutti / surutti. Will anyone help me? Thank you all for uploading this. Stay home. Stay strong.
Here is a MahAn flutist whose 'yOgyathA' was hundred percent but unfortunately equal 'Yogam' seems to be absent. No proper recognition. Perhaps it did not matter to him.
