This was awesome! I solved maybe 75% of your exercise. I got a little stumped on how to format the icon-text-icon structure, and must say, your approach made sense. Overall, the mere act of trying made things click that much more. Thanks Mr. Jurrius, you're a 1 in a million lecturer! As an aside, when I was younger, a lot of my teachers were Afrikaaners, so hearing your accent floods my heart with some beautiful nostalgia. Excellent exercise tutorial … I learned a lot! Flutter has several ‘ClipXX’ widgets; ClipRRect wraps the Row to round the corners. Not much less code, just clearer as to operation.
Hi Johan, is there a repo anywhere that I can check my code against please. It all worked fine until I extracted the 'ProfileMenuItem' code, after which I started getting execution exceptions and a 'A RenderFlex overflowed by 99415 pixels on the bottom.' error message whenever I save the 'main.dart' file
The squiggly blue underline means vscode has a suggestion for you in that particular line. May be you need to add final or const. Just hover over the line a pop-up will appear, look at the last entry, it will tell you what is the issue.
