i heard that the ppl who ownd the flux has striped their gears many times and their diffs how many times has it happen to ur flux? (please be honest) cuz im thinking of getting one soon cheers

You definately want the Castle Link programming kit with this, especially if you are bashing at the track or something. Take the throttle down a little and you can punch it around curves like a dream without flipping over. Plus it saves a little wear and tear. But it's still bad ass to do standing back flips!!!!

the hpi site says that with the 3s it reaches 100 kph(62 mph) not 130

Holy Crap! 80MPH!!! My poor old tired Savage X SS 4.6 cries at 30MPH! Then again, I'm running Pro-Line Moab tyres mounted to bead-lock rims with 17mm extensions, as well as a whole host of other goodies to make it heavier (it's my crawler rig). Wow though, just wow. And I thought my Firestorm was fast at 45MPH... You guys never cease to amaze me, every day it gets harder and harder for me to ignore the world of electrics but this just may be the last straw. Again, just WOW.

I haven't been into RC for a while and am thinking of getting one of these brushless beauties. If I wanted to run the car for longer do I need a higher C rating or higher mah? Could you reprogram the speed controller? With the batteries in this video how long can you run the car? Charging a 3s pack usually takes about 1.5 hours right? If you have two packs that's 3 hours of charging?

very nice. I can't wait for my flux to be done. Im building mine from the ground up bought all the parts ands making the truck how i want it, extended by 4 inches truggy shock towers to run better bodies, sway bars, wing, RSC, and the power plant will be the castle creations MM 2200kv and 25v esc

Ya i was giving myself heartburn just thinkin about how much I spent on it *l* but like my father said "you get what you pay for" Your words have made me feel like i bought the right one. I am going to look into putting grease into gearbox. Grease one moving parts workes for me. Ya I feel like Im cheating on Losi though I love my Aftershock but now my girlfriend can use it. Cheers!

hi, will 3S 5000mah be ok with a 20c rating? i know you recommend 25c for 2S but surely 20c with 22.2v to back it up would be ok, even if i fitted a bigger spur/smaller pinion? a reply will be much appreciated. thanks. mike

lucky man, i envy you! i was just playing with the lst2 outside my house and with the 32 it does have absolute wheel yanking power and wheelies everywhere but the power delivery is nowhere near as smooth as an electric it will never wheelie quite as well, and as far as standing backflips, well no nitro that is capable of doing anything else is ever guna pull that off. have fun with it! oh btw a reveiw i read in a mag said it will benefit from having some grease put in the gearbox.up to you matey

why dont u guys put reinforcing tape on the inside of the tires from stock?

i have a kyosho giga crusher(2X 26. engines) and a lst2 with force 32 and some other upgrades. sod the telemetery of the lst xxl,get the flux. you can buy and install the telemetery radio gear when you have the extra money. no nitro is this fun. i need one!

i will buy me a savage flux but i hear some bad things over the flux as that the spare parts are so expensive and so much parts will be damage .... is that right and is the savage flux not waste my money ?????

Ok, I have watched this video many times and I heard what sounded like grinding diffs. When your doing the standing back flips you can clearly hear the diffs. Maybe while making this film and doing all these flips you tore up a diff. That's the thing people have to realize when buying this truck. just because it has that much power and they do videos like this. It doesn't mean you can go do it all day long without braking stuff. What they don't tell you is how much STRESS is on the driveline par

I just want to ask, I bash my Flux using 2 x 2S 30C lipo and I the only thing I do to the ESC is turn Auto-Lipo on. My friend suggest me to set the voltage cut off to 3.2v to avoid from damaging the lipo. So do I need to buy a USB cable for the ESC now or is it safe just to turn on the the Auto-Lipo? Any help is very appreciated. TQ.

@MrGorillion yeah some lipos have a low burst c rating . i just picked 1 up today and running it on 40c burst 2s lipo 5000mah packs back flips no worries on 4s

@ineedajoint You probably know this by now but 20c is way to low. The lipos will puff up and leak. You might get away with a 9 turn pinion but i doubt it. They just can't supply enough burst current and over discharge. esspesialy with the size of the wheels on this thing.

castle just released a waterproof mamba monster. the mamba monster is the same esc and motor in the savage.

Do u need to attach the deans connectors to the LRP vtec batteries u are using and if not how does it work?

when you are charging 2 lipo batterys do you have to tel the charger when on 2s that it is charging 14.8v and do you have to and do you have to do the same with the amps need to no

pliers, needle nose lock-jaws would work best. savages aren't supposed to be pavement princess', so don't worry about marring up your dogbone (if you wanna keep it pretty try a rag or some e-tape wrapped around the dogbone before you clamp the pliers on)

@808KauaiKai HP has the castle MMM System witch this has or hpi calls it the Blur.. Also the HP has the Red body vs Blue. Cheers.

I have a wheel I can remove from the savage, it seems to be jammed how do I hold the dog bone from spinning so I can remove the wheel

28c x 3.6amps = 100.8amps continuous output; Castle Creations (whom make the FLUX esc (its a rebadged MMM)) recommend in excess of 120amps continuous output for the lipos being used. Those LRP items are not ideal...

how fast will the sprint 2 flux go with one of these batterys in it?

6s=many to trips to the LHS. 4s is plenty. I jump my savage flux 2350 on 4s and if you don't land on all 4 wheels you're screwed because the weight of the truck (13lbs.) coming down hard on plastic bumpers, axles, wheelie wheel, are going to break. Don't even get me started on the hinge pins coming out. This thing is a money pit. Don't get me wrong, it's a great truck and the plastics are thick but still if you don't land it right on the money you're screwed. It's all part of the hobby tho

People say that the Erevo is better but I would like to see the Erevo last through a beating like the savage takes. Maybe the engineering of an Erevo is better but it's a racer. The savage is built to last. Monster trucks are meant to bash, NOT RACE. Just stating a fact.

i found a 12.5 volt lipo battery. So 2 of those will equal 24 volts..... CRAZY

HPI Savage- the only limit is your wallet. PLEASE release a roller that is exactly the same as the rtr but without the electronics

Yeah but why do hpi um and are about honoring warranties on import purchases? No other global company would say they cant help because it was brought elsewhere. Luckily my ss kit looks to be complete but a forum friend is missing the "entire" rear diff and hpi uk after some time said theyll honor the warranty as a gesture of goodwill but thats not good enough I dont think. A gesture of goodwill is given to a consumer to fix/replace something the consumer did or out of warranty. Not sending them something they should already have in their new kit. Its not a great start for my hpi road. I hope I never need to call them. To claify we live in the uk but brought our kits from germany.
