"FLY FISHING ADVENTURES 2022" Day 24 to Bitterroot River in Montana [Episode #22]

In this episode we are fly fishing for trout in the Bitterroot River, Montana. It is a beautiful September morning and as we get to the river there is a wonderful Fall chill in the air. Because of the cold we start with a Pats Rubber legs and Pheasant Tail nymph setup under an indicator. We get hookups right away. Not far into the day we switch to dry flies using a few different representations of the Hecuba Mayfly. The Brindle Chute seems to work the best. We have an incredible day of fly fishing in the outdoors of Montana.

Steve, you should get a measuring tape tattooed to your inner arm so we'll all have a quick reference to the actual length of your catch! From the tip of your finger and up to your inner elbow and beyond. Start a trend for true fishermen. LOL Ladin can bring his over for you to release so we'll have a measurement of his as well. That would be totally fun, and the tat would be apropos for your 'profession'. LOVE IT!! Or do this. Measure from the tip of your middle finger to the crease in your inner elbow. Should be in the 16-20" range. That's a great way to make quick reference to actual length. Easy measurement on the fly... 😁

Great video!! Shows the rig and flies your using. Something I don't see with a lot of videos. I'll be fishing the Bitterroot in July. Nice job!

Love the show, but boy do you two have some bad habits. Constantly flatlining your rods and extending with your shoulder up, which leaves your arms separated. Hence why you lose so many.
