Spent the evening fishing for some stocked rainbow and wild brown trout in Big Stony Creek located in Giles County, VA. Managed to land several 12"+ stocked rainbow trout and a feisty little 8" wild brown trout. All fish shown were caught by either tightline nymphing or euro-nymphing a peeping/peeking caddis pattern.

Understandable haha. Big stony is a little bit of a harder stream to fish if you're starting out but it's fun once you get some fish under your belt. Little stony in my opinion is more beginner friendly, and great if you enjoy dry fly fishing.

Damn i was there on the tenth as well near columbia furnace and downstream. Didnt even see trout :/

They can be hard to find but they're in there for sure. Took me 3-4 trips before I finally dialed in on one on Big Stony. Thanks for the support!
