Great share. I would love to fly fish, but just have never had the chance to get into it. Very nice under water release. The water is so clear. That was cool to see two elk at the end. Great job my friend and good food. 👍👍😊
That water is beautiful mate, it made the underwater footage even better! I've always wanted to try fly fishing but I'll buy a rod before I try, I'd hate to ruin someone else's gear lol
This particular trip was early May, river fishes best second half of June into late fall. Do you have an Instagram account?? We could message on there I can give you some pointers.
North_West_Outdoors_Adventures Yes, it's @markmilleart. I'm def getting up there next summer (I'm in Boise). I'm a walk/wade guy and prefer smaller streams over big rivers, even if the fish are a bit smaller. I spoke with Mike B. at NW Outfitters- he says mid-late June as well, the fall if a good water year, but avoid August. Does one have to go all the way to Maggee to fish any tribs? Thanks!
Any spots you could point me to so i can acess the river a bit easier? Seems like most of it is private land anymore unless im not going far enough up old river road.
We used to float the upper head waters 12 miles back in late 90s early 2000s to get awsy from all the Clowns brown rubber worm threaded on line single barbless hook just Slays them Big ones cant imagine the people now in there Sad
