My brother and I took our final trip to the Eastern Sierras mid-October. We were searching for some big wild brown trout. We lost a few fish that were exactly what we were after but finally got one to the net. We also saw two things you don't normally see while out on the river.... Yeah that’s snowshoe they greyish in summer they like those juniper trees good thanks might have to take my dogs in the summer time or after deer season is over 👍🏻

Thanks, probably not going to be picking up the fly rod again until late spring. It was fun spending so much time over there this year though.

@bucksnboils yea the east side has some good fishing waters. Some of the best in the state. I haven't fished in over a month and with Temps dropping fast, I might not head out till spring myself haha. Me and cold don't like each other haha.

Just a question bud have you seen snowshoehare on your hunts I have hunting dogs and hunt rabbits just asking cause I see you hunt the sierras thanks

I seen a large rabbit up at 10,000 feet in the little walker area that has a white stripe down the back of his ear. It was the only one I've seen like that and wasn't a Cottontail or jack so it may have been one of those. I'm not really familiar with what they look like in the late summer months but this particular rabbit looked different than the others I've seen
