Yes on snakeheads. Invasive species, supposed to be reported when and where caught. If you were fishing in Maryland waters, DNR requests snakeheads be killed not released for being invasive species. They do make good strip bait for Blue fish and Striped bass.

I have fished for bass with a spinning reel and little white frog. Bass ate my frog and snakehead ate my bass. Ended up with an 8 pound snakehead for dinner

Why are snakehead fish a problem? During all of their life stages, snakehead fish compete with native species for food and habitat. A major concern is that snakeheads might out-compete (and eventually displace) important native or other established predatory fish that share the same habitat. As adults, snakeheads can be voracious predators.

I have never finished for Snakehead. We don't have them in Canada, tho it is on my Bucket list 🎣. I heard that it is a delicious fish to eat 😋. Plus you can cast ANYTHING at them , & they will have a go at it.

I have always heard growing up as a Virginian to catch and keep snakehead as they are invasive, I’ve seen lots of posters comparing them to bowfin and not to keep bowfin (unless eating or what not like a normal fish of course) as they are native.

I fish a marsh just off the very northeastern part of the Chesapeake Bay. We've been told Snakefish are invasive and are not to be released. They do tremendous damage to the native Bass and Cropy population. I'm confused why you returned them?

Hey friends what do you think about doing a short video educating people about the importance of barometer fishing? A lot of people don't even know how to fish around the barometer and I think it's a huge player in fish feeding. A lot of people don't realize there are slight tides in the Midwest as well fishing lake Michigan that they don't even pay attention to. What do you think Brian would be good at explaining this

Did you use the 11wt on the flats for the snake head?

He said 8wt for snakes and 11wt for Reds

He did an equipment rundown there after they release the fish. He said he was using an 8wt. Same as on the flats for the reds earlier that day (previous video). The 11wt was for the night fishing.

Did you say we have them here in Ohio?? We chase them in Florida but had no idea they were up here! Btw- for the leader- 9ft length? 4 ft 40, 3 ft 30 and 2 ft 25 or do you build it differently?

In the beginning you say you’re fishing a changer frog and then at the end you mention you caught that on a choklett factory jerk changer- are you referring to the same thing?
