Had a great day exploring this exceptional Class A brook trout stream in northern PA. Caught over 30 wild brook trout on the fly rod, so many I had to edit out quite a few to make the video a reasonable length. In addition I landed my PERSONAL BEST brook trout in PA!!

Another unbelievable video Jon. They don't get much bigger than that here in PA. Its super rare, but always a treat to run into one of that caliber. Keep up the amazing work as usual!

Nice day! I love that serendipitous feeling when you have an expectedly productive day. There's a small blue ridge stream that has become one of my favorites this year. It suffers early in the season from low water but after a rain the brookies are very eager, similar to your experience. And the big one was a beast, congrats!

I enjoy your videos. Much respect for your fishing expertise and camera work. I'm located not far from the Esopus Creek. This unpredictable weather has hindered fishing a bit, Hope to get out soon.

Great Video!! I love fishin little streams like that for Brookies. The large one was awesome, nicely Done!! I’m waiting to hear back from you on streams by my sisters place in Rhinebeck NY. Also, my buddy has a cabin in Sullivan county Pennsylvania With tons of little streams like you just fished. No one fishes and it is a true gift!! Anyway, keep it up, your videos and fishing is something I look forward to!! KB 🐸🔱⚓️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@@deaddriftoutdoors2940 Thanks Jon I figured I’d try. I live in Delaware and there’s only one good trout stream about 45 mins for me. Which I generally fish the PA side of the WCC. So it’s hard for me to scout out streams in Pa and NY. I should be retired this time next year and will be traveling and fishing small streams in Pa and NY!🥳. We also head up to raystown lake in a week for family get together we do every 2 years. It’s great and I’ll fish the trough State creek. I’ve caught some decent trout there but I’m gonna look for other small streams It’s difficult cause I don’t know the area that we’ll even thought this is our 10th or so time up there🤪 Thanks for the response back and maybe one day I’ll bump into you on a stream. Tight lines to ya Jon Keep sending videos They are awesome!! 🐸🔱⚓️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Love the photography. Beautiful. I'd like more info on your flies that you generally use. I saw the Wulff. Did you say red thread? Thank you..Reed

I generally use attractors like Wulffs and Stimulators. For a dropper typically tungsten bead pheasant tails and hares ears. Pretty Vanilla.

The release at 6:20 looks like the hand of god reached down to give this fish a second chance hahaha 😂😂😂 It looks intentional unless you see that the light from through the trees just happens to be where he released the fish. Pretty funny.

Any advice on how to find blue line streams like this? Are you using Google maps or an Atlas? What do you look for on an Atlas when looking for these streams? Im in central PA but would love to give this a try!
