Chew Valley Lake is equi-distant between Bristol and Bath, - its a man made reservoir well stocked with rainbow and brown trout. Very reasonably priced for a day or evening pass. (around £20). Average size is 2-3lb with larger fish regularly caught (my pb is 5.2lb)
In this visit, in late July, (around 4pm) it was hot and bright, but the Red Diawl Bachs strike again using a washing line pattern from around 6.30
