Come along with Lyn, as he pursues beautiful wild brown trout on the crystal clear River Cothi, the largest tributary of the famous River Towy, which flows through the stunning Carmarthenshire countryside. Switching between nymph and dry fly, Lyn slowly makes his way upstream, bringing you a flavour of what this special river has to offer.
Filmed using the following kit:

Nice video, very relaxed. Totally agree about the footwear, some very slippery rocks. Must try the Cothi again for trout - your fishing through my salmon spots.

Thanks Jan! I guess the Cothi is noted for its salmon and sea trout, particularly following a spate but it’s always a challenge to target the trout from the crystal clear waters. Apologies for disturbing your pools, I’m sure they’ll be back on song, following the recent lift! Lol 👍

Thank you, I REALLY appreciate the feedback. As you know, there’s a huge amount of work to produce these videos, but it all seems worthwhile when I receive positive feedback. Yes, the Cothi is a unique little river, not renowned for its trout of course, but they are there - and it'll fish better when dropping from a spate. Tightlines.

Beautiful bit of filming Lyn ! loved the thumbnail! I think they should be more like witty newspaper headlines rather than all the keyword b#######. I don't know about recent years, but the Cothi used to be a classic Sea Trout river. A club I'm in has a beat down here, maybe I need a Cothi break myself! 👍
