Looks exciting out there Tim! I bet if you hit it up at night on the right tide you could not miss! I have watched em swim around and swim around some night just not on the feed. i always say if they want it theyll take it and thats that!
FishJonesBeach funny, Steve was telling me about how he’ll often find big fish swimming around, not on the feed. You can cast everything and they won’t eat. It just so happens that the day after this, he stumbled upon some 20 and 30 pounders that WERE on the feed! And the guys he had with him just could not entice a bite!!! smokster0604 awesome smokster, way to get em! There have been a crazy amount of sandeels out here as well! I caught a decent bass, about ten pounds, on a diamond jig yesterday evening. I also had a hickory shad on a tiny clouser fly this morning.... the shad were going crazy for the sandeels right up close. Gotta love it!!! thank you! it is a very fun way to fish... very visual and exciting! I was throwing a crab imitation here. I definitely would have thrown a shrimp or sandeel, had the captain not recommended a crab.
