Enjoy spectacular fishing and scenery with Ladin and Steve as they fly fish the Methow River in Washington for Steelhead. They use tiny red Copper John nymphs under an indicator to catch and release Steelhead.
As always, great episode!! Curious, since the fish are stealing your flies!!? I'm kind of curious, if you ever catch/land a fish, that has any of the flies still stuck in their mouths that they broke off your lines, or from what Ladin says, stealing them from you guys!!? Also, I know that this is a "fly" fishing show, but do you guys do any regular pole fishing at these spots that you guys film at!!? I've only "fly" fished 1x in my life, when I went to a family reunion back in the late 1990's at "Red River Hot Springs, Idaho" and family members brought their flypoles and I had my 1st and only taste of fly fishing when I was 19 yrs old. MY best friend had bought me a flypole but it's an antique 1960's "Eagleclaw" flypole, with a reel that has an old school push leaver action to reel the line in, so it's hanging on my wall and has never been used by me. But yeah, sorry about losing focus and rambling, but I was just curious to know, if you do any regular pole fishing at the locations you film at!!? But to everyone on the show, thank you for the show and entertainment!! Much respects to you all!!!
Hi Lane - We do often find other flies in mouths of fish we catch. We have not used other forms of fishing when we are on location fishing. We do both fish with other methods when fishing with family.
