Perfect model for starting on, Tim makes good kits that are well designed and thought out. In fact Tim was the first person I flew against in a combat competition almost 30 years ago. Look forward the first flight!

Looking forward to see this one running and flying. I had one of those engines many years ago in my first CL plane!

Thank you for the video. I never had a Wing --- I use to watch these two guys that flew their wings in their backyard. They did a lot of Free Flight also . Will see if you talk about Diesel Engines in your Engine Series. ----------- Rodney

Good morning Mark. Looking good. This wing is going to be very sensitive to fly for a first time. But with the CG far forward you should be fine. Another fantastic model to build (and I have built many) is the George Aldridge Peacemaker. A very smooth flying stunt / combat model, and your PAW will fit right in. Plan is on Outerzone. See you on the next. Terry

Hi Terry, Good Morning, thanks for the comment. Yes the first flight will certainly be interesting, lots hope it really is as strong as suggested! Probably need to be! Hahaha. Thanks for the plan suggestion, I will take a look, OuterZone is such a great resource. Looks like we may get some good flying weather this week! Have a great day.

I would never advise a person who has never flown C/L before to start with a Peacemaker. Most beginners will hit the ground in their initial flights. If you hit the ground with a Peacemaker, it breaks. Your flying session ends there and you've made zero progress. You then have to go home and try to fix your model. The same thing will probably happen the next time you try to fly it. And so on until you either get bored and give up or you master it. This model, if trimmed according to the plan instructions will be easier to fly than a Peacemaker and much stronger. You can crash it, pick it up, restart the motor and try again. Time and Time again. This is how to learn to fly. When you are confident, then build a Peacemaker and enjoy it. (For "Peacemaker" you can insert Flite Streak, Ringmaster, Skyray or any of the myriad supposed beginner profile models.

@@hobtim well you certainly have a great deal to say. Both of my sons learned to fly control line with Peacemaker. End of conversation.

@@terryblackman6217 well, if you say it's the end of the conversation I'd best not say any more.

Hey friend, you cannot use your P.A.W. engine on this plane. That's because it runs on diesel. If you wrap the plane with heat-shrink film the diesel will ruin it. The film will melt and become gooey and sticky, not to mention that tightening the fabric will be impossible.

Hi, I have covered the wing in Solartex and then fuel proofed it with polyurethane, its a standard practice here in the UK with diesel control line and it works fine, but I appreciate your concern, hope you enjoyed the video. Have you seen the maiden flight video yet?

Would it have been possible to straighten the leading edge by steaming? or do you just jave to live with and adapt to bent balsa? Cheers James

Yes, I could have steamed it, but was ok to use, just not ideal. If it had been a model to last I would hva probably replaced it
