I'm a jazz kid and I just love saxophones and fly me to the moon is one of my all time favorite songs and to hear it played as awesome as it is played in this video is just amazing
I keep coming back to this version. Each player shows the utmost knowledge of their instruments to great effect (does that make sense?). This is low-key one of the best versions of this song I'll ever hear.
@@Matthew-bp5de Is that a good thing? Is that a bad thing? From what I understand, some people really like it and depending on the mouthpiece, you get more or less airy sound? I'm a tenor sax beginner, so trying to see what others think so I can learn!
@@pas0003 there’s is a technique called sub tone. The whole purpose of it is to sound airy and have a softer sound so he’s definitely doing it on purpose. He maintains a good tone even with his airy sound so he sounds good. I personally really like it as long as you know when to use it
Wow! Great song, brilliant playing..each one of you are just wow!.love that tenor sax solo, wish you played a few more bars to get to that section A again coz you hit it! Beautiful, thanks guys. B.L from Botswana n London.
Un bassiste "solide" ...dès les premières notes il tient la boutique et déroule le tapis Un vrai régal ...;le son ,le groove et les notes ! ....et avec un pareil soutien , ses compères font des merveilles ....!
Fly me to the Moon Let me play among the stars Let me see what spring is like On Jupiter and Mars In other words Hold my hand In other words Baby, kiss me Fill my heart with song And let me sing forevermore You are all I long for All I worship and adore In other words Please, be true In other words I love you Fill my heart with song Let me sing forevermore You are all I long for All I worship and adore In other words Please, be true In other words In other words I love you
This song shows the superiority of tenor sax over alto sax. The smooth sound of the tenor is so much more appealing than the mid-puberty level squeak of the alto. but i mean alto is sorta ok i guess... jk all saxophones are amazing
Nah fam ur the result of phone addiction leading to a wack circadian rhythm with a healthy dose of American consumerism. Its fine, just don't pretend you're unique 😂. Hope you get some sleep
It’s a Buescher True Tone. You can see the left-hand spatula cluster has the rounded G-sharp key, which makes it a very early model (earlier than 1930? - I don’t know when Buescher switched to the more conventional G-sharp that exists on modern saxes).
