It's not just his playing and the fact that he is a one man band - but his musicality and creativity is off the charts! Damn, I wish my dad was still around to hear this young man. My dad was a concert pianist and I would always bounce singers and musicians that I liked off of him, just to get his opinion. He would have loved Marcin, I am sure.

This is definitely a new dimension in guitar music - with a stress on "dimension". Marcin does not invent anything new. As he says, he learns from internet, most probably from guitarists like Tommy Emmanuel, Mike Dawes and even many classical ones. What is striking here is his level of performance - including technique, musical sensitivity, incredible inventiveness and hard work. He has left his "teachers" so far behind and created a new standard, not matched yet by anyone.

Marcin has invented something new. Do you see this as a common playstyle? He invented a technical playstyle combining percussion, fingerstyle, classical/progressive genres. But he did not invent techniques! Did he invent slap harmonics? tap? percussion? Obviously no, what would you say he did? Explored a dimension? Combined influences? That's literally what inventing means :-).

@@AlexandrBorschchev Thinking about that... You may be right. At this level of his "eclectic" performance and seamless integration, we may call it an invention. He does explore new techniques as well, I think. He just shows that it can be very entertaining, intriguing, even moving and inspiring. I hope he is mature enough to grow and preserve balanced life. Lots of pressure and temptations here.
