I like that technique of tying back the small biot ends. I tied up a few of these, fish loved em, and they held up well.

That's what I love to hear! I honestly don't remember where I picked up that technique but whoever came up with it is a genius.

Thanks Skyler, you make tying flies easier. The BH Prince is one of my go to flies.

I love this fly, and thanks for the kind words. I put hours into each one of these videos and it makes me happy that at lease one person gets something out of them!

Doing a great job with your videos. The prince is one fly that is almost always somewhere on my line. Please keep the videos coming. I did have to go straight to my vice when I seen how you started the thread and no tag to cut off, that is slick.

Thank you! When I was a kid I got sick of cutting off tags so I starting my flies that way instead. I'm glad at least one other person liked it haha. I end up with the prince on my line a lot as well it's a great pattern.

Another great video, was wondering about size but saw it in the description. Do you ever tie it larger or smaller?

lathan308 for sure! I'll tie it in a 12 for early spring and a 16 over the summer and I use a 14 in the fall/winter. It's a great attractor because it can resemble stoneflies in larger sizes and various other nymphs in smaller sizes. It can definitely be tied in other sizes as well but those sizes work great on my waters.

I am curious about the hook you used, it seems to be flattened on the sides rather than round, a good choice for flies with biot tails.

It was a brand of hook from a small business in Idaho that orders them from China. They no longer exist so you can't get them anymore. I believe the umpqua U series nymph hooks are flat I don't have any right now to check though.
