Good job and very interesting to see the process that as you say there's not a lot out there about...... someone has got to keep these aspects of the hobby alive !!! Thankyou for sharing !!! Love from New Zealand 🙃😉😎
@gc2916 I haven't checked in a while. If it's not available I do know that Radical RC in dayton Ohio has it. It seems to come in and out of stock at sig.
This looks to be a much better way to cover and airplane that you are intending to paint. I would if i were you spray the model with at least 2 coats of sandable primer. It is really a good filler and as small as the mesh is a little quick sanding you will be ready for a really smooth finish. You have me fired up to build a plane now just to try this method. Thankyou so much Sir.
Your very welcome! I would like to try doing a sanding sealer in the future. There are just so many ways to use this type of covering. Thanks for watching! I'm not sure if lexan scissors would work or not. I no longer have a pair to try it out. It would be interesting to try it though!
@@thercbarn5001 I find that the lexan scissors do really good on cutting gauze. Had to Doctor up a hand not to long ago and had no way of pulling it tight to cut it
Kinda cut myself off. Anyhow I tried every pair of scissors in the house and finally I went to my rc stuff and tried them. I could lay the gause down limp and they slice right through it. They are probably a lot cheaper than a new pair of pinkin shears. I can remember when I was little and I got hold of my mom's shears cutting a piece of paper. Dang I wore streaks from that switch for a week😁
In this one I used sig stickit. If you watch my earlier videos I go over this. I tried a few techniques like thinning it down. That did not work well. There's other products but I've only used the stickit.
