This video includes live audio with startup sequence, en-route, communication, etc.
Earlier this year I had the privilege to move some aircraft around. First leg with first aircraft, which wasn't documented was from Lexington KY to Neenah WI.
We swapped aircraft and began our second leg was from Neenah WI to Medina OH with a fuel stop at Fort Wayne (KFWA) airport. Then after snow storms cleared from Medina to Manassas VA. It is always good to get out of our normal operating area because it forces the pilot (me) to plan more than normal, but also to be very flexible.
One of the biggest challenges was the weather. Winter, plus ferrying aircraft a long distance with no deice capabilities. It was an adventure.
One of the biggest rewards for me was that I was able to bring someone that was brand new to aviation. He got a real taste for the industry and got to do lots of flight planning, phone calls to FBOs, and got pretty comfortable on the radios. I miss the instructing days in some ways.
Fly safe!

Brilliant! I must attest, a prayer in the checklist? Absolutely fantastic! This made my day. Spent plenty of time in rotary wings, former brush monkey, captain, crew boss. Super Hueys, UH1H / Bell 205. The EC is a lovely bird. Liked the familiar shimmy as the rotor comes to speed. Hover check, and get to business! Safe flights, guys!

Way back in June, 1997, I was a 2 pilot crew who ferried a BH-412 from Denver-Centennial (KAPA) to KHEF. Saw a lot of country along the way. Switched from the BH-412 to the Pilatus PC-12 and haven't flown a rotary wing since. I guess that 4400 hours was enough in 35 years? Ended a 60 career (Army and Civil) with 8500 hours and no accidents. Great flying choices, though. Night EMS scene work was the most difficult; before NVG was the norm.

@@jarry1595 it was a very fun job. I was going to college for flight and now I'm a USAF pilot in the KC-135R. Because of this job I may try to fly fixed wing medevac when I'm out
@MatthewMiller716

@@jarry1595 we were also testing this sensor system in vehicles where depending on impact of the crash the cars impact sensors would notify an ambulance company or potentially medevac. They were finding that at times when crashes would happen there would be a delay in the need for medevac. Additionally, in rural, very sparse areas medevac may be all you have. We would map fly radius and figure out gaps in coverage that could potentially drive new bases or companies. I also got to see the evolution of Air Methods taking over everything

I flew on King Air E 90's fixed wing all over the sourthwest U.S and then I was fortnunate to be offered a Helicopter Flight RN job in West Central Wisconsin. I was a flight RN for 10 years and flew with Excellent Paramedics and other Flight RNs during those years. It was an awesome job! Imagine flying in a very small Intersive Care Unit. We saved a lot of lives and transported some extremely ill/injured patients. The scene flights were my favorites.
