yes i’m planning my quince and i been nervous of people judging because im on the darker side and i dont look “hispanic”. Which is weird since we come in all shades. (Just nervous because im the first one to actually have a quinceañera.)

Dominicans are Hispanics, I don't know but I think the dad is AA and the mom is the Latina.

My guess is by her moms accent she’s Puerto Rican from New York and the dad is African American so the kids are 1/2 and 1/2 and Dominican is Hispanic

Quinceanera's are one of many Mexican traditions. It was passed down to us by our indigenous ancestors, the Aztecs. It originated in Mexico 🇲🇽 but it seems other Spanish speaking countries in Latin America have adopted this custom of ours. Which I actually didn't know about until now lol but that just goes to show how latin america share and mix with each other to be one.
