Okay so this isn't just yknow created because I want the BV. My first days in war thunder were quite weird. My mum died May last year (I was 14, 15 now) and it was really unexpected and brutal for me. I had always been a fan of WWII planes and flight sims. About a week after she died, I stumbled across an imgur post which showed off some of the game. Hearing about it before, I decided to download. I also knew it was a skill based game, so I'd just spam watch all phlys videos (I remember starting with the p38 or xp haha) just to learn. I remember just being so blown away by the game, by the scale of it, by the detail in it but most of all the community. Everyone was chill but it was that everyone was immersed in the game and I'd have somewhere to go and talk about these planes but most of it escape from everything which was going on around me. I spent most of my days after that grinding the Russian tree, and performing sekrit missions in the SB2M 😂 but I've been playing ever since then and I don't think it'll change because the game and the community within it has changed my life. hey phly! so first experiances in warthunder, huh? well... i remember the first time i played, running a stock light tank, cant remember which one, sorry. joined in, and get tracked late in the game. it got track and i coudnt repair. then this guy in a tank that had a 75 mm cannon on the right side came up behind me, and pushed me into his objective. this was an enemy medium tank. he could have easily load HE and won. he put me into his point, and helped me win the game. there is nowhere else that i can find that kind of comradiere. it instantly made me want to play even more. where ever that guy is, i hope he is doing well. sorry its so long, but he was so cool. its sad i cant remember his name. it was a year ago. and if you see this, thanks for reading!

Well well, my first days in War Thunder^^. Well, I began before tanks came out, I think about 4 or so years back now. No Pilot blackouts, bombs actually did damage, and the Tu-4 probably wasn't even being thought of yet. Funny enough, I got into the game by watching fail videos by BoTimeGaming. Anyways, I started like anyone else back then; Air Arcade battles. Thinking pretty much "Merica!", I started off with the P-26 and the other low tier American aircraft. Hahah.. On my first day I unlocked two new aircraft, I think the P-36 and one of the other light fighters, or maybe the SBD-3. I was hitting the all time high of beginners luck. Kills right and left. When I first began to play, I didn't know much about how anything worked, just that you aimed at the reticle in front of the plane and held the mouse button. Then, I decided that I was going to do my first realistic battle about a week after starting to play. I had moved onto the German aircraft and unlocked the Bf-110. Thinking I was the best pilot ever and could easily fly in realistic mode, I joined a battle. I got twenty meters off the runway, and flat spinned into two of my allied fighters, effectively losing us the match. I was so terrified of the new-found difficulty I didn't play for two weeks, until I couldn't help but try again. Now, 4 years later, I am just starting to get near my first jet, the American P-80. First days in War Thunder : Day one : Joining arcade battle with german planes , got rammed 4 times , rage quit. Day two : Joining arcade battle with US planes , got teamkilled 3 times , rage quit. Day three : Joining with japanese planes , got destroyed 3 times with one bullet from a greedy team mate , rage quit. Day four : Joining with planes from mother russia , rush B cyka blyat , 10 kills , 7 assists and 0 death...Not a single rage quit that day.

i wonder how long it will take for people to realize that coming in from the 6-o'clock is a bad idea with the BV238

Hey phly, my first match was in February last year and my friend decided to be a jerk (but secretly teaching me how to play), he took me into a custom battle and started to kill me over and over again. Little did I know he did this to so I could learn the controls. After doing this for about 15 minutes I had learned the basic controls so when we went to arcade battles I had the basics. It was hell but know I find it smart on what he did to teach me.

"Where do we land this thing?!" "heh, on the water... nah, just kidding, on the runway." "HOW?!" Well, I've belly-landed a Sunderland on an airfield with no tail control... how hard could it be?

My first real good match in War Thunder was in the Beaufighter Mk VIc in Arcade back in 1.41 and I got nineteen kills...... Got 11-year-old noobs calling me a hacker....

So first experiences with War Thunder ? I came in contact with War Thunder through a friend. He started playing it, and he invited me to see it. I was immidieatly fascinated, by both the graphics, as well as the premission to be as realistic as possible. So, I decided to download it too, but secretly, so I could surprise my friend. However, back then I had REALLY Bad internet. I could play, but the Download too forever, and then, on the Day it was finally finished....1.47 came out, and I had to wait for another 8 hours. But when I could finally start, it was fantastic. I played in a squad with my friend, and while we had Bad times (especially when we, noobish as we where, first encoutered T-34), it's still the most fun game we play together, or alone. I especially remember a game when we both unlocked the Stug III A (back when there no tanks before it in the line). It was fun, but then we ran into a KV-1. Because no one of us had researched HEAT already, we just couldn't penetrate him. So, in the end, we just stayed the entire match with that guy, constantly wrecking his tracks and gun, because we were to noob to flank him.

Hi my name is Dennis.😋 (sorry for my bad English btw). My first time on War Thunder was when tanks were new I had a bad computer at the time so low frames and new player don't really misses well. I remember that the Stug A. was really op and I had a different account too. Now with a better pc and experience I'm a little better(working on it). War thunder started my love to know more of WWII. First days in war thunder: I've always loved WW2 aircrafts, i built models when I was a child and played the crap outta flight simulator pacific war (even bought the spitfire extention) and battlefield 1942... as a teenager I got my first pc and started playing world of tanks (i saw an add) but never liked the hit points system... then one day, through youtube videos I discovered war thunder and I fell in love with it: that video game (despite its many MANY flaws) is like a childhood dream which came true, my inner kid comes out when I'm playing it... first thing I did was grinding the british all the way to the first spitfire (in arcade of course) and I even bought the premium gladiator to make the grind faster. I had seen ads for War Thunder but had never really been bothered to download it since it was only planes then. Everything changed when I saw that War thunder had just implemented tanks, thinking I could do with a break from World of Tanks and try something new, I downloaded the game and set foot into a new world of discovery. After it finished downloading I straight away jumped into an arcade tank battle and rushed forward, got my sh*t handed to me !Picked myself up and dusted off while rolling up my sleeves thinking that this game was not getting the better of me. The second game I took my time, playing it safe, checking every corner but then I tried to side scrape thinking it would be like in WoT and that it would work wonders, how naive I was to think War Thunder was going to be like World of Tanks. Since then I have persevered and focused on trying to master the British and German Tech Trees in the air and on the ground, but can clearly say that I'm still far from that although it has always been time well spent :)

So my first days in war thunder I thought i knew how to attack real well but every time someone got on my 6 I had no idea what do do so I would just fly in circles for like 2 weeks -_-

First week in War Thunder was last week, so I remember it vividly. I started playing after watching yours and Baron's videos. My first air realistic game in the Catalina(day 1 of the game for me) was a ship map, and I successfully bombed 100 square meters of ocean from 4,000 meters up. I was bombing the 1 marker, where the ships start apparently. I navigated my way back to the airstrip, all the while asking my team if I was supposed to land on the airstrip or in the water next to it. I bumbled my way on to final with my floats lowered and noticed an enemy fighter coming in for an attack run. I started freaking out, trying to remember how to go into gunner view. While in mid-panic, my right waist gunner goes ham on the incoming fighter, mad props to the AI guy, scoring three hits and killing the fighter pilot. The next message I see is, Enemy Team Has Lost All of Its Vehicles. I abort the landing and head to the results screen where I see I am the lone survivor of my team. Dear Phly- This is how my WT experience started- First I actually hated WT because I was a Wot player and then I watch one of your videos and I though it would be cool to try it out so I downed WT and I loved it and im still playing now ive get to get a jet of tier 5 but I'm trying. My first match was in a tank relistic battle it was so funny because I fliped my tank over and asked for help from a enemy sooo you know how that ended! Also I started a RU-vid channel to be just like you and I've love doing it! Now let's get back into WT talk, when I tryed my first air arcade battle it was funny too because I only ground pounded I got so mad because I didn't know what battle ratings where so I flew a biplane out and I saw a 109' and I was like but I'm a biplane and ovecorse he shot me down. My time with warthunder has been interesting. Tried arcade planes, 0/10 ign I sucked alot. Went to tanks was alot better, met a 55 year old guy whom had many many hours (read lvl 100). He took me into his squadron and for 100s of hours I was a scrub lord. Then I played Russian tanks and got gud. From there I wasted my life away to the point that I had to stop playing tanks. They I started playing planes, still am terrible. Thought the t34 bias was bad then the yaks came. Now I know the meta. I play Russian because I suck.

Well, when I started playing War Thunder, it was basically another plane game. I started playing with the North American tech tree, because they had my favorite aircraft... But I didn't take it seriously, I left War Thunder because it was difficult to get planes. Few months later, I got War Thunder again, started watching your videos, they were the ones bringing me into the game again. I only played Arcade, because I thought that RB was a hard gamemode, but you showed me how to appreciate them. A few months ago, I reached Tier V, I am still having trouble with the first jets; P-80 Shooting Stars ;-; Since I was getting bored of watching tutorials and guides of such planes... I decided to try other Nations. Eventually, I got into Germans, then, British, and right now I am with the USSR. I reached Tier IV with every single nation, but the japanese (which I am going to start playing soon, I've heard that Zeros are OP). After playing with most of the nations, I realized that the most difficult one, was unfortunately (IMO), the US. But the good thing is that it gave me a lot of skills and patience to grind planes of other nations, much easier. My first game, I was playing with the p-26 and I would get really mad when I would turn the screen so it would turn the tail. I kept turning the screen all the way around and would crash into the ground. I almost gave up on the game but I kept playing and now I have jets in the British, American, and german. I also met you fly daily. One of the best RU-vidr.

First time I played warthunder all I new how to do was get in an air arcade map but for about a solid month and a half I didn't get a single kill The only thing I new how to do was plough my little chaika into The ground, I ended up ditching th game for about 6 months because I was getting so pissed of. The only reason I still play it is because I watched The shit out of your videos and that inspired me to give it another shot. It was then that I found realistic battles which were much more fun and easy but my first couple of games i died from my engine failing dos I just wepped The shit out of it that is my air story, u don't even want to know my tank story. Hi Phly, Two friends of mine, really enthusiastic about planes and stuff, introduced me to the game. I first downloaded it on my shitty PC and barely got 30 FPS on minimal settings. But regardless I was enjoying the russian planes a lot. Because of my lack of knowledge or skill I tried going for ground units while my friends got enemy planes. I got quite good at it and therefore tried to research bombers early. I did not get much kills but sure as hell won some games by bombing enemy bases and ground units. This is imo a really great mechanic in the game that you can support your team in multiple ways except just killing planes. To this day I love hopping into my Pe-8 and get all enemy bases by myself in Arcade. Have a nice day and greetings from Germany

my first days? so i watched a lot of your videos playing war thunder. so i tried to play it on my super old shitty pc, it runs min settings 1280x720 30fps 😂 and i played tanks and it was a lot of fun, but when i got into rank 2 i was getting absolutely destroyed. then i switched to planes now, and im not getting as many kills, but its awesome to fly bombers. and this one looks super fun to play. my Twitter is @RJay_PS3, i love the videos you make, keep them coming 👍

My first times playing war thunder I was being patriotic and only played American tanks, and was fond of the M3 Lee. On one map i got tracked on a defilade between two hills pointing towards objective A. My crew was nervous, being just trained on this cutting edge tank. The battle around us was fierce and frightening. We decided to point the main 75mm cannon straight at the next hill by A and the set the 37 mm turret cannon to our left flank. I wont lie, the damage was bad, and our mechanic was estimating an astonishing 35 second repair time. So we hunkered down and waited for the end. But something inside us started to fight back. We told the mechanic to get back into the tank, and we shot every single AI and enemy tank that tried to capture A.A barrage of artillery took out our other loader which put me to work on the 75. We then focused on the left flank while the main gun was reloading. With the help of the mechanic we were able to load the 37 mm turret at the same time. I can still recall the smell of mountain dew and sweat as i yelled at the computer screen every time my 37 mm shell bounces off the kraut tanks. After a full and exhausting 5 minutes our team managed to push back the tide of war and break the line. We had held A, killing 3 AI's and 2 unlucky bastards. I slumped back in my chair and lit a fresh cig, sweat running from every Orphus. I mumbled the words and i blew out a drag, "best job I ever had"

i started playing war thunder with two of my friends four years ago. i took america and they took germany, but we were just playing without the knowledge of anything. and we played realistic battles from the start and we just enjoyed it and got 3 up to 5 kills every game. then after researching the fighters i got the p-400 and every time i flew this plane i enjoyed it so much and in every game i got at least 2 kills. i received very very cool and great and special memorys with this plane. i flew it even in tier 3 or 4 matches and still got kills while my friends got one hitted and rage quited and blame the game and their " cheaters and hackers". today this palne is still the best plane on my player card. and today when i think about flying this plane out again i alwasy say to myself " no you would only destroy the geat memorys you have with this plane". so didn't fly it out for i think 2 years now but every time i look at this plane and my customization i always think of the great moments i had with this plane. this plane and i got a very long and great story together and i hope you enjoyed reading through it fly. your one of my favourit yt so keep doing you videos i always enjoy them. thats all from me looking forward to your next video :)

Even after the 3 years I've had this game, I still remember my first kill. Back when I started, there were no tanks, so I hopped into an I-15 and played arcade. After many games of getting assists and deaths, I had yet to get a single kill. But finally, the game came. It was Stalingrad, noon, thick cloud cover. I latched onto the tail of a Nimrod and didn't let go. After shooting 3000 rounds at him in a hope to shoot him down, he became so damaged that I watched him flip over and smash into the ground. Oh boy it was so long ago but I remember it so vividly. It was the days of 2014, me and my friend decided we'll play the game together so we loaded it up, took us about half an hour to figure out how to create a squad after desperate searches on the internet, then we decided, hey shouldn't we play some practices to get the feel first? So we did and got a mediocre feeling of the controls, then off we went into our very first battle. Keep in mind we started in the American line with the p-26's. We got into the battle and we were so pumped we decided to fly in formation into the battle, well we crashed into each other. There goes out first of 3 p-26's. We decided hey let's not do that so we went solo, and there happened to be a jet, I can't remember which, but it killed my and my friend and half our team(I don't know how it got there) and now me and my friend were to our last p-26. I said, this is it I need a kill, and I went all out. I was chasing a ki-10, I got so tunnel visioned I hadn't realized I was the last of a few people on my team. I finally got the kill and screamed I GOT HIM I GOT HIM to my friend. I read the chat and some dude said kill ground targets, and I didn't know how to do that, so my first instinct was to ram something. I spotted a truck after some time of searching, and realized it was the last one. So I rammed it not knowing it could kill it with machine guns, but I still destroyed it, and I won the match. That is how my first game in war thunder went.(keep in mind me and my friend still play together)

My first time playing war thunder was not good, I died quickly and I couldn't control the planes(only planes at the time) My friend has always told me to play and I would always say no and I don't want to play that bad game, he was always so ecstatic about playing and I would turn him down,..over time my friends personal life wasn't going so well and his grandparents health were declining..he was feeling quite depressed so I suggested we play war thunder, I seriously played despite me not being good and eventually i came to enjoy it as it made my friend happy again, so even though I did not like the game I played and ended up enjoying the game myself..my friend no longer plays but I still avidly play the game when I am able to between school and work and those first moments in war thunder will pretty much be unforgettable to me for the effect it has on me and my friend. :)

PhlyDaily War Thunder for me was a very bright start. The first battle I played I got myself into American planes. After my first battle I was number 1 on my team with 12 kills. It was mostly luck more than likely but still the though running through my mind were "I like this game!" I played planes a lot before I got into tanks and spent all of my Eagles on them absolutely clueless that that was a premium currency and it might be a good idea to save them. I also spent a lot of time in my battles trying to take down enemy bombers with rifle caliber machine guns. You can probably imagine how that went. I didn't know any better though. I just thought those bombers were insanely strong. Regardless of my cluelessness though I loved the game and I still do. It hasn't lost its charm and I look forward to getting my first tier 5. well, as soon as I saw there were spitfires in the game, I became full of childhood nostalgia from reading about the battle to Britain, and I set off to getting the spitfire, after spending about 2 days grinding for the br 2.7 spitfire I was pumped to take it out. I remember my first kill with it being a sbm2 and my second was a bf-110. after these two kills I decided to go for these 2 fighters flying relatively close to each other. I got hits on both and took out ones ailerons. they both chased me and I started to go low just above the treetops, they knocked out my engine and I lost throttle, I started to descend into the trees, and as I did so, the 2 fighters on my tail followed me unwittingly, but because I scored critical hit on one, I got the kill from his crash into the trees. it was a good first experience with the spitfire.

It all started when I saw a sort of banner thing on a website i was on and I said to myself "hey that's cool I'm gonna go check it out!" Then i started watching some youtube videos on this one phlydaily nerd's youtube channel and it kept getting cooler to me. Once i started playing my already vast love for aircraft kept on growing stronger and stronger. I loved getting into the biplanes and having some old fashioned fun with my friend who i introduced to the game. One day i went into a realistic battle with one of the earlier German planes and the difficulty of what i went through was very frustrating... I would stick with arcade battles from then to now. Many people in my family were in the air force and they gave me some cool ideas of things i could do and it surprisingly worked well. Fun fact my grandpa flew in the vietnam war and was actually at one point the number one fighter pilot in the country, earning every medal possible other than the purple heart. He still builds and flies planes in his free time

First days was as a Tank! Bombing it around in my T-26 and BT-5. Played a few arcade games and was super underwhelmed by the experience. Swapped over to RB and hello!!! Totally different game! Was hell fun then. Loved it. Although I do admit those PzII's with the 20mm ripped my poor BT-5 a new one but it was still great. I had come over from World of Tanks and the change was so refreshing. Still my favorite Tank / Aircraft game. First days as a plane consisted of shooting a billion 7.62mm rounds and hitting very very little. Still had fun and was a blast.

Started in Air Arcade long before ground forces were thought about. Dont remember much from 3 years ago but ill try. Was part of many a lemming train. I remember the first time I flew out the BF109 F-4 and thinking, theres no way i can take on that many spitfires. Climbed as fast as I can while they flew straight in and just boom and zoomed them all. 10 kill game with no deaths. Germany has been my favorite nation ever since. I even decided to play FRB with the F4 first once i got the courage to. Go so into it I bought Track-IR, flight stick and pedals to improve mah powah. Germany is the real powerhouse when they know what they are doing.

Morts' first day of War Thunder. Had a lot of friends that played it a lot, they eventually peer pressured me into playing. I lobbied up with them with no clue what was happening but I had a pre' solid Swordfish so I was keen to take on the world. Get into a game, to realise one major thing. Everyone had jets....My "Friends" decided to keep their high tier planes on and use them in my first rb as a laugh. After getting shafted I bought the d-13 pack and from there on easy sailing.

My first days of War Thunder were a struggle, to say the least. The day I got the game, I bought my first laptop. Now, silly 'ol me, knowing nothing about the internal workings, chose a dell with a 1080p 16-inch display, but with an i5 processor. I also forgot to buy a mouse :P. When I started playing (not really tho) I had to keep quitting to drop the settings. I finally settled for 20-30 fps as opposed to dropping to ultra low. Being the patriot, I chose Murica, not knowing of the SUPER STRONK Russians. I had been watching Phry for a little while so I felt inclined to start off in RB. RIIIIIIP. I couldn't lead shots or calculate bullet drop in ANY way (howitzers REALLY messed me up) since I didn't know the hash marks meant anything. I thought they were decoration :P. I also had no idea about weak spots or ammo. I think I was shooting HE and their mantlets for about a good hour or two. Two shots later, a bt-5 would pop around the corner, "CHELLLLOOO COMRADE!!!," and shoot my little m2a4 in the butt and get a 1 shot. Trying to click and direct the plane in RB with a trackpad is a nightmare *understatement*. The plane would either shoot or turn. Not both. Long story short, poor graphics settings, trackpad, being a straight up noob, and Realistic Battles made a tough start. Eventually, the m18, pziv f2, and the f6f cae through. Throughout my time playing War Thunder, I have learned that T34s (especially the T34-85) will forever be the bane of my existence (at least until I get to t-44 BR) T_T

well, here it goes. My first days in war thunder were inspired by u !! thats right!! U plhy!! but anyway, back the the story. I got this computer on my birthday when i ws say about 12 or 13 years old. And you know what came to my mind?? WAR THUNDER!!! You inspired me to play this game from watching you on my ipad long before i had my own laptop. My brother was the same way. We love your videos and had some great laughs about your content. He commented on your video as well and doesn't know i told u we are bros. Would mean the world to me if we could receive the brand new skywhale and add it to our collection. To think that i am a F-86A-5 / Future doom turtle pilot / driver coming from my years playing war thunder. I know the contest is probably long over by now but my first day on War Thunder 5 years ago went like this: -OMG THIS GAME LOOKS SO COOL!!! -Download and load up WT -Oh sweet baby Jesus my crap laptop can't handle this! -restart on lowest graphics setting. - >25fps at the hangar... good enough right? - -Let's go with Germany, their planes were the best early in the war-- a bi-plane... great. -let's fight! -15 frames off the bat... oh boy. -Ok lets go bomb that base -OH MY GOD WHERE'S MY TAIL?! -Damn you Bf-110! -Ok, got 2 more planes. -Ok got one more plane after the spawn kill by that P-36. -Let's try dogfighting! - -Alright I got one-- and there go my wings.

When I first started out playing war thunder I was told by a few of my friends to play as the British in air battles because RULE BRITANNIA!!! Anyway, because I had only just started playing, my friends would always have to use their biplanes when they queued for an arcade match with me. After a little while, one of my friends decided to show me the wonders of a 'high battle rating' plane (because BR 3.3 seemed a long way away at the time) and brought it out while I was stuck with my trusty Fury mkII. When we got into a match I had realised what had happened, I didn't have high hopes so I simply charged into the battle. I saw an XP-55 and asked my friend "should I go head on with him?", to which he responded "go ahead" with a slight laugh. My first day on War Thunder: Well, I had never played an online game in my life and my youngest son approached me and, knowing how much I love history, especially WWII, told me I should try this game that he had been playing; War Thunder. It turned into a great bonding experience, we formed a team and played side-by-side, he on his laptop and me on my desktop. I've been hooked ever since and now, my oldest son wants to join us as well. I'm not on Twitter and I don't really want to leave all of my info on here. Just thought you might like to hear a feel-good story. By the by, my son and I both love watching your vids, keep up the good work and, give Piper some new toys dammit!! LOL...

I got started with War Thunder way back when German and Soviet were the only options after one of my WoT friends asked if I played it, which I had never heard of it until then. So I got it and honestly hated it at first but after taking some time to learn it and having to adjust to the totally different pace of gameplay from WoT, it became quite enjoyable and I've stuck with it over WoT ever since.

In the long lost days before tanks when war thunder was still a game of fighter plane combat, I chose the germans as my starting faction. Having played "Birds of Steel" on the playstation, I'd already had a taste of Gaijin flight models and was woefully mislead into believing the game would be optimized for a ps3 controller. My rudder was so damned sensitive I ended up raking gunfire horizontally across enemy planes until my teammates crashed into me. Despite these snafus, I ended my first arcade battle with 12 kills and thought "Hey, this is kinda easy". Years later and well into the jet age I can say now I had no idea what I was getting myself into. (I don't want the Bv-238. Just felt like sharing.)

My first time in War Thunder was 2 and a half years ago. My Friend and I were bored and we were looking for something to play. It was during patch 1.39. I wasn't into tanks yet but I really enjoyed the plane battles and this was the main reason why I played. The planes I fell in love with first was the SBD dive bomber and P-40 fighter. The game was and is so much fun, and I have played it ever sense then.

Phly I'm very disappointed in the 238. After watching this video, I went out and splurged and bought the premium bomber. I was ready for a god-mode style superbomber that would fight its way to the target without an escort, just a mobile AA platform. I don't know if it has been nerfed since 2016, but the 238 I fly is INCREDIBLY slow to climb, and I mean incredibly slow. You'll spend 10-15 minutes in game side-climbing to 20,000ft, thinking you're safe. You start your bomb run, excited to finally start the action after grinding the WEP and slowly ascending for what felt like an eternity. Only to have a Spitfire reach you in about 2 minutes and blow you out of the sky before you can drop a single bomb. The gunners are pretty garbage. I have all my gunner skills maxed out to five, and "ace'd" for another bump in skills. Even then, while I'm staring down the sights, the gunners can't hit the side of a barn. I'll get one or two minor auto-hits in before I'm shot down. It's incredibly fragile. Ailerons fall off my plane faster than the bombs. You lose ONE engine and the aircraft is constantly trying to wing-over, making a run very difficult. Lose two engines on one side, or an aileron, and the aircraft becomes nearly unflyable, seemingly suspended from the healthy wing, unable to level or make any effective maneuvers. All you have to do to take one of these down is, quite easily, ascend to a higher altitude than the 238, overtake it, then dive at it from a 12 o clock high position. Focus your cannons on one wing, take out the engines pretty much immediately, and watch the 238 spiral down into a self-destructive, cataclysmic dive. The ONLY time I have found success with this aircraft is when I am matched with mostly lower BR that can't climb very quickly, or with newer players that aren't paying attention/fighting at low altitudes. Once you sneak up to about 25k feet, you can make a run of the map in these circumstances. However, if there is a single P-47 or P-38 in the match that is looking out for bombers, you're screwed.

Hello PolyDolly, or any other name you use. Note: I AM STILL A NOOB AT WARTHUNDER! 3Days ago I was flying my Hurricane Mk.2B (12x 303. MG, 6x Rockets) I Spawn in the air with my team and someone lines up on me to get a teamkill. I Quickly change direction and he runs. I soon spot a low flying B25J bombing our ground units. I get on his tail and, Shoot him down. After I shoot down 2 Ju-87s, 1Ju-88, and a German Wellington Mk.1C. I get exited because I just got 5 Kills. A PBY-5a Catalina is diving down. I go head on and shoot its engine and flaps off, and the fighters behind it shot it's elevator out. I got the kill. I Spot a Sunderland. I go after it, it is wounded. I get behind it and shoot it's Wing off. It didn't go down without something so it damaged my engine heavily. Looking for more planes I head for the Enemy fighters swarm. Suddenly a Yak-7 Cannon Snipes my pilot when i go head on with it. It lit on fire, burnt down, AND TOOK HIS Yak-1 Friend WITH HIM! Sadly I Don't have Twitter... My first day in war thunder was quite horrible : first I had to wait one week to finally play the game, second my first match was a arcade battle, but I connected myself to a E.U server and I getted swar by russian people in the comment section because I was serching french players and my friend, third even in lowers tier russian bias is real : a T-45 bounce a Pz 38t shot and (In the same tank) I end up sniped but the Gaz dakadaka truk. Then I chose à air battle and immediatly quit because my entire team just sucided and try to kill each other. Bref that was a terrible start but I love this game and my objective is to get to the top tier I the russians tree (air and ground) and show them that french is not only good at surrenbering. By the way I love your stuff and I thint War Thunder need french tanks.

When I started to play War Thunder, I hated it. I drove a tank for 5 minutes, just to get killed. I had the same problem with the planes, but than I unlocked my first bomber. That changed every thing. After my bombs were out, I dosn't had a problem to die. I loved it to get points and don't get killed first. But after I unlocked higher bombers, I hated that game again. All the hunters just killed me in seconds, ok i used the german bombers, I love them but they are weak so I can't survive that. Than I found your channel and I tried to do the same things with the planes like you and well I can't play like you. But I'm now a bit better with the other planes than before. But the point is, I still love the bombers. They good if you not the best person in this game. And I also learned to play with the higher bombers from your videos so, at the moment I love this game. I know you said, that we only should tell our start with War Thunder, but I told you now my complete War Thunder story. I found the warthunder from watching you play it. I was confused at first but then I got it after about a week. I got better after watching you play it and I took advice from you. I've only played war thunder for about 2 months now and I hope to learn more from you in higher tier. I look foward to watching more of your great videos.

I watched a video on someone customizing a bomber with the phrase "The Canadian Police Men". Right after that video I downloaded war thunder. It was really fun. I remember squading up with random people and we friended each other. I played with those people everyday for a week. Then they started to play less and less and eventually stopped all together. I still liked to play the game but it wasn't as fun as before. I still play a lot now but I still remember those days. These were my early days in war thunder.

Came back here from nearly five years later, and man, I didn't think I'd notice the difference in his voice this much.

Once upon a time there was a M3 Lee. This Lee was had gone through many trials and there it stood on the top of a hill in arcade looking at all the little tanks and at that moment, the Lee decided enough was enough. It had died to many times with nothing to die again with nothing. So the Lee proceeded to annihilate the enemy one by one, driving over the hills, shooting its 45 and 75 mm cannons at anything that apposed it ending the game with a satisfying 16 kills.

My first days in War thunder were amazing!! I was soo stoked to enjoy this game i had been looking for, for a while!! I saw videos on it long before playing but when i got my PS4 i discovered my love!! I have always wanted to be a pilot, so its awesome to have a realistic air combat game to enjoy everyday!! Keep the vids up!

My first day... hmmm.. it was special. Either everything I flew was made out of paper or the enemy had some serious firepower. Every time I took to the skies, I got shot down instantly. Planes appeared out of nowhere and one shot me. I had no idea how to win. The only chances I was able to almost kill enemies, they rammed me. Eventually I got better and after watching your videos and learning the way you fly, I've become a rather beast player. I don't want the prize I just felt like Telling my story for fun :)!

I am not really writting this to get the prize, just saying how it was: So I downloaded this game I think half a year ago or something. Before rocket tanks appeared, I think. I am a big sucker for air simulator, so I went for the airplanes. Tutorial was simple, I didn't know how to fix controls (I did it after few arcade battles), so when I faced players for the first time I felt like I never played Ace Combat, Ace Online and other such games for thousands of hours. I mean - I was decent, but not good for a long while. I remember how I finished first research - 'twas good time, but I had no idea how LONG these researches can last. I learned soon that ramming is stupid for the most cases, and bullet drop-off does exist. Oh, and people don't talk much in chat - that was dissapointing. I spent my entire first day on this damn game. Still do sometimes.

Jumped on after paying World of Warplanes forever. Had absolutely no idea how to tank. Basically thought my M2A2 should perform like an M1A1. Charged all in, ended up sitting in the middle of the battlefield with my tracks blown off spraying wildly at anything an everything. Left me pretty frustrated so I didn't play again for a couple months until my friends convinced me to give it another go. Now I'm hooked. I still tend to charge in head long spraying and praying, but at least I'm more effective at it. :-/

my friend convinced me to get war thunder so as my first game i ever got for pc this was it, i attempted playing and instantly fell inlove, the map was a ground strike mission on crater and there we go in the nimrod rocking up 4 kills, the map was gorgeous it was 11pm andi instantly fell inlove with the chaos of the game, planes burning and falling to the sea, crashing into the land, dog fights everywhere, i now am approaching 600 hours on this game and it just keeps getting better

Now I have Tier IV Tanks with enough knowledge to use my amazing Panzerkampfwagen VI Ausf B effectively.

Well, the first time I played War Thunder wasn't too long ago. As mainly a WoT player, I joking war thunder mainly for planes. I had a pretty fun time and got a few kills in the p26s. I then thought, well, let's do a tank. First battle, 12 kills, no deaths. I got so over confident, I went to a rank one realistic battle. To say that I was slaughtered would be an understatement. I'm playing arcade until I get to rank 3.

So I'm 13 years old and love the game and would totally recommend it to anyone who likes flight games, but I got into war thunder when I was just browsing the PlayStation store for some really cool new games to download and I looked up something related to flight (I dont remember exactly what I looked up) and then my dog who is a golden doodle came over and wanted to play so I played with her and she started jumping around and I fell over onto my controller and I must have accidentally hit a button because when I looked up I saw war thunder and noticed that it was free! So I downloaded it and started playing and being a lover of flight and war games I absolutely loved it!😅 P.s. I really like your channel and wanted to thank you for doing an awesome job and frequently uploading videos!

Flying a bomber, don't remember wich one sadly, i was able to fly even without engines and barely no lift at all because i got massively swarmed. And upon landing i see the nose of a two engined Aircraft, didn't think much about it since the rear gunner didn't open fire. Well, how wrong could i possibly be... It turned out to be an enemy Heavy fighter, and the rear gunner was unconcius, and he placed the nose of his plane right under the tail of my bomber, and right before we both smashed into the ground he turned up, flipping my bomber so i landed upside Down. I couldn't do anything else than laugh because it was just so hilarious and well excecuted.

I remember first downloading War Thunder back in January 2013 during the early days of beta after reading about how Gaijin was intending to combine all the elements of an "MMO" war shooter with air, land, and sea vehicles (still waiting lol). Regardless, I was still stunned with the graphics and game play and all this Free 2 Play! I let a few of my friends and online buddies know about the game and immediately we hopped on and started playing thinking this was going to be a full on, serious, realistic, balls to the wall WWII "MMO". Boy, we were wrong. And how we were we wrong? Motherfucking biplanes. I was playing online with my buddy Xenes and Physik and we were immediately expecting this WWII realism. Nope! We hopped into our biplanes and approached the enemy, thinking alright, this is going to be cool. It wasn't to be. Off the bat, my buddy Physik, immediately crashed into a friendly. Before I could comprehend what happened, Xenes and I were in the shit. Flying these little P-26 "Peashooters" around we didn't know wtf was going on lmao. He shoots down a few and then ends up clipping an enemy to the point where he's flying with one wing somehow. I was trying my best just to stay afloat and got a few kills with a smoking engine. All this happening and Xenes, Physik, and I are just yelling into our mics, "FUCK, HE'S ON ME!" "GAH, WTF!" "WHAT THE FUCK, THIS GAME!" or my favorite by Xenes, "FUCK, he's on my cornhole!" By the end of the first round all of us couldn't stop laughing. And that was my very first experience with War Thunder #russianbias

My first days in war thunder were such a good memory... I started with germans and i had the StuG III A researched really fast. Then i hopped into arcade on Kuban and got 19 kills. I was hiding behing a little hill so the enemies couldn't hit me, meanwhile i was shooting at them due to my slow shells with the big ass arc. So good. P.S: BV-238 is my wet dream ;)

My first days playing this game were probably the best for me... I loved flying the I-15s and I would only use them. I was using my laptop at this point and soon afterward everything went downhill. I can no longer play because new computer doesn't want to run War Thunder... this is why I watch your videos because when I watch them I feel like I'm back in the pilots seat, playing, much worse of course... my account is still good though, I checked on the mobile app, and I can't wait till I get to play again.

i have spent all the time in my first days with the german-bombers on tier 1. At the time, War Thunder was just a secundary game, because i had been really into WoT, so i didnt took the game serious and played ONLY the He 111 H-3 by flying in arcade plane battle at 1.7 battle rating 20 meters over the ground, spamming the space key to get all the 32x50kg Bombs away. Everytime i did excactly that, i had like 10xGround-Unit Killstreak. Now i just got back into it and i got a myself a new account where i am playing the russians and germans. My first days in war thunder were early in in the game. Back when it would take 2 minutes to get into a realistic battle. So after a 2:45 ish wait, I'm finally put in a game, playing in a cite little gladiator. I take off, fly toward the enemy, get eyes on an enemy a.c. and head toward him. my first encounter... he rams me head-on. My intro to War Thunder.

Hey Phly 😊 I started playing warthunder at the beginning of this year because of a friend. He already played warthunder since three years so he went with me to Play Low tear (please excuse my faults in the English language i am from Germany 😅). So the first Thing i played was english Planes it was a horrible beginning because it was a hole new game experience. I never played a game like warthunder before. Just Games like Battlefield an stuff. But now I started getting exited in it. And I went on playing Germany Tanks ant it was a Lot of Fun but a Lot of sadness too. i tried so hard to make my way up to top tear and now I arrived at the Tiger 2 p. But it was Worth it and it makes so much Fun. i also started to Play Planes from the USA and that was also hard at the beginning. Lesen how to fly, how to Controll and stuff. In the beginning i only played arcade but soon it went out to be boring so i started to play realistic battles. Like in every new game it is hard because you don't know how to play it. So i often died and didnt know how to angle how to shoot or where to shoot. Every time i saw a t34 i freaked out because I hated them so much. In the beginning it was also hard to learn all the names of the different Tanks and planes. And I also didnt know what the enemy vehicles can and what the can't. But finaly I know how to play Tanks propably not as good as many other Players but better than many people i think 😅 but with Planes i still struggle sometimes because I don't really know what am i dooing. My first experience in war thunder was about 10 days ago. Me watching your videos convinced me to try this game. I loved it and I always play it now. But anyways the first time I played this game I tried to play some tank realistic battle. I spawned in got enough kills to take out another tank. I died and tried to respawn. When I did I spawned at least 50 ft in front of a Panzer and was killed imidiatley.

Phly-daily my first day of War thunder was inspired by one of your videos called the Russian Gak AAA. Before I was just a World of tanks player until I saw how much fun War thunder appeared to me. My first match was with the P-26 on realistic (by accident) and I was stuck in the cockpit view. even though I was just b*tchin about how to get bombs, the view was incredible and I never understood how peaceful flying could be. Now every day while waiting for a match I go to your channel just to watch your videos. Your videos have gotten me through rough times and I just want to thank you for all of the dedication you donated to RU-vid and War thunder. Your a bigger hit than Markiplier and I wish others could see that. Thank You

i've always wanted to fly. My uncle was a pilot most of his life and sparked my interest in flying, this was only fueled when i had the chance to play around with my school's flight simulator. I started watching videos from channels such as your's, Squire's, and Magz', and with my teacher's permission i was able to download and play War Thunder on the highest graphical settings possible, with full joystick, throttle, and pedal control possible. it's been fun since my first kill, an addiction ever since i got my first kill on realistic mode in the cockpit view with my favorite plane, the Typhoon 1A, watching the terrifying BF109 go up in flames to the gorgeous arc of tracer .303s

My first RB game I was very nerves because that's where the good players where, so me in my SU-2 was just fucking around a bit, trying to stay out of combat, when I found myself to be the only one left apart from some bomber going back to base. The enemy however only had one bomber left as well and my teammates were pushing me to go find him. So I was flying to their airfield and there he was 2000 km below me. Planning on diving onto him my teammates were telling me to ram him to make sure he, or the aaa, wouldn't kill me and so I did. Won the first RB game with a ram. It felt great! Very Honorabuuu!!

So myself and 5 friends decided to give the game a shot, since war thunder only allows 4 member squads we had to split into a squad of 4 bombers (the blenhelm) and 2 fighters, counted down from 3 and tried to match up together, we played from 1pm to 4am non stop just flying formations and syncing bomb drops was a lot of fun researching new tiers

I remember when i started the tanks in arcade. I was giggling all the time cuz the controls were so light. Now I've gotten all the way to Tiger 105mm and I hate the BR. It's messed up.

Hey Phly, my first days in Warthunder were spent knocking out my own tank by running into trees and trying to figure out the controls, lots of silly crashes too, I wasn't used to warthunder physics and I was constantly doing dumb shit lol.

whelp, my first days were filled with long waits and disappointments (my internet is very slow but compatible). ANY WAY, i was gone for the weekend to let it download and the first thing i wanted to do was tanks because I saw how much fun you and others were having. So i tried but my internet wouldn't do it so i did planes. LET ME TELL YOU, i was in a fight for my life in my first air battle ( i played the GERMANS first). Our team managed to pull a win out from our buts and i got the premium CR.42 FALCO. After that i was like "what now?".I played more planes and go used to the controls and so forth. I still think my favorite biplane is the He51 with those 10 Kg bombs because it was derpy to use against ground targets (and the occasional biplane at their base). all in all I liked the game a lot and here am I, 2 years later with a tier 5 vehicles in GERMANY and RUSSIA with over 10,000 kills on my player card. I tried War Thunder first time about 3 yrs ago. The first nation I played was ussr because I didnt know it was possible to switch nation. When I got to my first ab, I wasnt even sure whether the enemies were ai or real players. It was really a surprise how good the controls were and after a lot of confusion and 2 kills I thought War Thunder was the best flying game there is. But after this single ab I went to play some arma 2 and basically forgot the entire game. Two years later I re-discovered War Thunder from my game library and really started to play it. Now I have over 900 hrs on record even though the thoughts about the best flying game have vanished a long time ago.

I was playing closed beta of World Of Warplanes, liked it quite alot, almost got all german planes. Then, i started to notice chat messages like "War Thunder is way better" etc. So i decided to try it. My first experience in it was training. When i first saw actuall gameplay, i was like " Holly shit. No waaay! NO FUCKING WAY!" It was so awesome and pretty, the gameplay, the graphics, the physics. I was truly amazed how an online game can be such... such. Newer logged in in WoWp since.
