I wish that I had a great brother like you. I'm staying tuned. Have fun guys. It's so funny that your brother didn't know where he was going, but he had on what looks like a Hawaiian shirt. Lol
Thank you Melanie, and great observation! I think many of his shirts could actually fit the Hawaiian theme… We threw him a surprise Hawaiian themed party for his birthday last year which was a lot of fun, so I think he was even more excited than I expected and we had a great time!
First,if you come to hawaii you should spend at least 10 or days here (first and last days are travel times).Second, you do get to use the lounge in flights to New York and Boston on first class tickets. (It feels like you're flying internationally if you spend 9 or more hours on the trip nonstop)
I rarely get that much time off at once but I agree you should stay as long as you can. My first visit was 2 weeks and that was amazing. Austin is the same service as JFK & BOS, you can use the Hawaiian lounges but I’m not sure if they use partner lounges leaving those airports.
I am flying by myself to the mainland for Thanksgiving. I splurged for first class. I am not crazy the seat next to me is so close…my husband died a month ago and I really want privacy since this is going to be a hard trip.
I am so sorry for your loss, you deserve the splurge after the loss of your husband. I flew back to LA by myself after our trip (same plane but the food and bedding is not quite as good on west coast routes) and once you pull the privacy divider up between the seats you don’t really notice the person next to you. I think if you choose one of the middle rows that would feel the most private, but either way it’s going to be much more comfortable than the alternative.
