these are the majestic dragon fishes , and i have videod many of these beauty asian arowana types loving them, there are red, super red, 24k etc different types of arowana cheers for sharing this video
yes that's why it says Brazil -- these are south american arowana. Asian are more fat, and endangered/possibly extinct due to overfishing & habitat loss because people wanted to keep them. The South American ones are not, and are legal in the US.
@@chelsmeister The U.S just has stupid laws that restrict the aquarium hobby. Completely illogical laws when it comes to fish. South American arowana is bred in captivity as well the asian arowana. However because the asian arowana is endangered in the wild it is illegal in the U.S to own. Meanwhile there are other endangered fish that are allowed in the hobby within the U.S that are bred in captivity. Another stupid law is the snake head ban. Not all snake heads get enormous & are threat to native ecosystems but the U.S made it illegal to own any type of snake head. Meanwhile the snake head they don’t want taking over national waters are already in the rivers & lakes because they were legal back in the day.
I’m here after watching a guys video where he’s had 3 of them jump out and die. He had canopies on the tanks, but they’d wedge themselves between unexpected gaps. Crazy stuff.
Have 4 arowanas - golden high back, 24k gold , albino and silver for a year now and have a heavy tight glass lid over it once or twice I have encountered voice of them jumping hitting the glass but never found them out of the tank but now 2 of them are almost 2 feet and other 2 almost 1 feet and they are amazing haven’t found any difficulty with them nor found them out of the tank and they are really good with water change too where I take half the lid of the tank and they r extremely chill most of the time too ( these were Captivly bred won’t survive in wild and my fishes have a 12 feet tank much more space than most people normally provide )
Everybody knows that they jump out of tanks when the lid isn't on. They can even jump out of the tank if the lid IS on. You need weights on the lid when the arowana is in the tank because they are strong jumpers.
