Lad!! Proud of your approach to different culture!! You are spot on and so respectful. There is definately a lot you could cover of Philippino culture and yet you refused to take advantage of the easy low hanging fruit in the slums. Massive respect to you!! I hope no one ever judges you by your cover, because you are a person who can see things exactly for what they are, and you are not offensive in your assessments. Ive been to Philippines many times and even with the machine guns ive never felt unsafe. Just never make anyone 'lose face' or dance around flaunting you have money and they dont and you be sweet. The guards with the pump actions are actually super polite and helpful if you ask for directions etc. Prance like a show pony and some one nasty will be watching.
Spanian, You bring a down to earth and authentic view on many topics affecting Australia and internationally.. you are a legend. Love watching your vlogs and the passion, love and respect you bring and share to all around.. 🙏👏🙏
Wow, didnt expect you to visit my mother land. But yeah Cambodia isnt dangerous as long as your dont get on anyone's bad side its pretty much the same everywhere. Just enjoy the food and landscapes cambodia has to offer and enjoy it my guy!
I'm an Aussie-Filipino or Filipino-Aussie and respect for not showing that part, shows your integrity as a man! Thanks bruv! You're a good man! Hope you had a good time in the Philippines anyway.
For anyone who does want to see footage from some slums in the Philippines, there's a channel I like called LarryPH Walking. Non judgemental channel, just an insight from a Filipino over there. I find it cathartic watching his vlogs, especially the videos where there is heavy rain. As poor as those people are, they mostly seem happy in their interactions with each other and the vlogger. In stark contrast to some of the rich people of New York City, cashed up and seemingly miserable with their lives. It seems like you can surround yourself in happiness with your family and the friends you keep, regardless of your financial situation.
❤ THRILLER IN MANILA.. CAMBODIA LOOKS AWESOME..THANKS SPAN FOR TAKING US WITH YOU AROUND THE WORLD 🌎 POST SCRIPT: ON THE OTHER HAND YOU ARE SHOWING THE WORLD THAT POVERTY IS RIFE AND IF ITS HIDDEN THEN NO ONE KNOWS ABOUT THE SUFFERING ...
Cambo changed EXPONENTIALLY from 2004 to 2014 to the present day. If you've got a couple of grand the best souvenir you can get in PP is a CITADEL Katana, they are top notch and actually gain value.
I was in Cambodia almost 25 years ago, the Khmer Rouge were still active outside of the cities. And despite all the warnings back then, I was made to feel so welcome and the people were beautiful!
I was waiting for Spanian to just fucking snap-kick all the homeless people & film their families but it’s actually really nice to see how sensitive he was with everything ❤️
Dubai airport is mental especially when super sleep deprived. Don't wish to do that again. Enjoy Cambodia 👍 Don't forget to pick up a Cambodian soccer jersey.
My Wife is Filpino i love going to PH, Everyone is cool though great people but here you on point about the filming there good people but some are actually want to live there also. Cheers Lad and im happy to get you a Jersey if you like and send it to you?
Spanian, I love your content and there’s another one of my other favorite creator who I would love to see you meet up with. Do you know ChinaMac (@ChinaMacTV)? He flew into Vietnam but he’s going to be going around Asia filming videos for MacEats a series he does checking out different foods and cultures. You’re both doin your own thing, come from different cultures etc but he shares that same integrity and character that I respect about you. Your probably familiar with his story but in case you’re not he spent his whole youth up until around 30 locked up but he came out in 2013 with nothing and built a mad successful career creating content. I know you ride solo but it’d be cool to see y’all link up it’d be like a cross over episode from two of my favorite creators in the content universe. Anyway sending good wishes from down here in NZ. Looks like this was another sweet adventure! Safe travels buddy!
Before the plandemic, Phnom Penh airport very busy , came through 4 weeks ago and same quiet,a tuk tuk used to cost 8 dollars now 10 dollars ,from airport to riverside. And Phnom Penh means, Penh-mountain.
03:40.... that makes you authentic and different from the other youtube vloggers....respect brother....though I wouldnt mind you seeing going through the Biggest European slum(stolipinovo) and interacting there with the people. Im 100% sure theyll digg you and if they not just call me, im connected with all the people there :)). Good Looking out Anthony!
You should go to London England uk one day or visit other citys in Europe or maybe go south America to citys like Buenos Aires Argentina or Montevideo Uruguay
As you we're boarding your flight to Cambodia theses two young 20s something was being smart behind your back Anthony you should look around some times
Spanian why not incorporate a mma training or sparing session at each destination. It would be interesting to see the different ways different countries train cuz. Just a thought. Love the content regardless. 👌 😊
i live in manila, im a british expat, im currently travelling europe for 3 months thankfully but dreading going back to manila next month, unfortunately i have to be there, its a broken city, people are slaved away for ridiculous hours for no money and after a hard days work many have to commute for hours to get home due to the traffic, and we're not talking nice commutes either, we're talking long ques, congestion, pollution, standing out in the heat.its not pleasant.
Awesome bro, i was just in Phnom Penh for a week by myself about 4 weeks ago, just doing a border run, but I stayed near they call river front, a little tourist strip along the Mekong not far from you , you can get happy pizzas and stuff lol, but there is some really good eats bro like mama wong’s dumplings and noodles 🤌 but yeah just keep ya shit close, you will see people eyeing it brother, it’s pretty safe just more motorcycle grabs and scams ect i guess, I did feel a little unsafe walking around am’s and I know I was sized up a couple of times , and met two young Russian blokes at a bar that just got scammed 100 us lol, wait until you take out riel, i took out 700 au and nearly needed a brief case lol, but yeah mad place and same as you first thing how friendly everyone is.. but sometimes you know when people are a little bit over friendly 🤔like you got owned by the taxi driver, but certainly isn’t Thailand not even close …🇹🇭
