I left my home in the UK to return to my home in China. I share my journey from Manchester, UK to Nanjing China. I travel with Hainan airlines from Manchester airport to Beijing airport, I then travel by plane from Beijing to Shanghai. I ride the worlds fastest train the Shanghai Maglev and then take the Shanghai metro and finally a high speed train from Shanghai to Nanjing China. I share my journey from the UK to China so you can experience what this journey is like.

I wish I could afford to make the trip often 🙂 I couldn’t go at all for 3 1/2 years so it’s really nice to be able to again.

haha! Yeah, I thought I'd make it clear incase people might wonder how. I used to run alongside the runway there often, You can get some great views of the aircraft in lots of different spots.

Doing Manchester to Bangkok via Beijing end of November with Hainan airlines looking forward to it , paid £646 return Done air china and china Southern also both ok .

Great 👍 Hainan are a nice airline. Will you have chance to spend any time in Beijing on the way ? I think Hainan still only fly from Manchester to Beijing Capital, hopefully in the future they will fly to Beijing Daxing airport, it’s very cool.

Yeah that sounds familiar I think so. It’s a nice airline to fly with. I flew with Tianjin airlines in the video I’m publishing soon and they weren’t as good. Shenzhen airlines are pretty good.

@@middlekingdomproductions yes i usually fly with hainan airlines, ill also be going from mcr to beijing. Ive also flew with tianjin from Beijing to london, and i agree hainan feels much better

I will be flying with China Southern for my next flight, it’ll be interesting to see how they compare. I think they’ll be better than Tianjin from what I’ve read online.

It cost me about £1000 return for that trip in the middle of summer but prices have come down a lot. It’s possible to get a return from the UK to China for less than £500. I just flew from Nanjing to London for £200 one way with a stop in Shenzhen on the way.

China is often referred to as the "Middle Kingdom" (中国, *Zhōngguó*) due to the ancient belief that it was the center of the world. This concept originates from a time when the Chinese civilization viewed itself as the most advanced and culturally superior, surrounded by less developed societies and barbarian tribes. The term "Middle Kingdom" can be traced back to the Zhou dynasty (1046-256 BCE), when China was seen as the central and most important part of the world, with the emperor believed to be the "Son of Heaven" who ruled under the Mandate of Heaven. This belief was reinforced by the geographical and cultural isolation of China, as natural barriers such as mountains, deserts, and oceans limited contact with other advanced civilizations. Over time, this idea became deeply ingrained in Chinese culture and language, symbolizing China's central place in the world, both literally and metaphorically. Even as China encountered other great civilizations, the term persisted, reflecting the country's historical self-perception and its role in East Asian history.

1 mundane question what is the environment like on the plane do they have many western language films etc . Heard very few

@@markmitchell2658 the environment is good, it’s a nice airline to fly with. I think they had an ok selection of Western movies as far as I can remember. Airlines like Tianjin and Shenzhen airlines have almost no English Language movies
