HELLO SAMINA, Thank you for showing us your beautiful old Pile village in Maryang Town in Taxkorgan. Thank you for describing to us how difficult it must have been be to live in mountainous region of the Palmir Plateau often without electricity, tap water and road often destroyed by flood water. You described so well your way to school from your old village when you were in the third grade, when you had to walk, then ride camel and then your parents had to drive you After that you had to cross rivers, climb over the cliffs, where sometimes adults had to tied you with ropes to avoid falling off the cliff. I think, that Tajiks children are amaizing, brave strong, and very smart. And after three years of going to school that way, your parents decided that it will be easier and safer to sent you to school and you would come back home to see your parents only in summer and winter. It had to be hard, but it was for your better education and for better future. You and your friends from your village are lucky to have such loving parents, and that very good Toxkorgan and local governments came up with such a good program to lift everybody from your village out of poverty. Let me tell you, your new village is amazing, so modern, well organized and colorful. and you have all conveniences of modern life there. And you still can see your beautiful mountains in the background. Also your vegetable garden is delightful.. Samina, congratulation on your new, happy life. Many, many people from America wish you, your parents and everybody in your village the best. P.S Samina, you know there are many poor children in America and our government is trying but not succeeding in lifting these children out of poverty. Would it be okay if I would forward your video to the American government, to show them how to do it correctly.

The land is so barren that nothing grows there. With little industry, the only employment would be government job. I am glad that they are hired as border guards so that they can have a stable income to support their families. And this is just the beginning. With better education and better connection to the outside world, next generation will have a much brighter future.
Some may say this is pro-China propaganda but I have no doubt China has done a good job in lifting their people out of poverty. More work needs to be done no doubt but this particular ethnic group is an example things are moving in the right direction.
In any country there are always minority groups which can be easily exploited by unfriendly neighbouring countries. The government must take good care of the minorities and treat them equal with all other major ethnic groups. Talking about giving equal treatment is not good enough. You must also be seen to doing it with results. In this respect China under Xi is doing a good job. In my country the minorities are very well treated and they are very loyal to my country.
It's obvious the minorities are exempted from the one child policy. If you've been to Xinjiang you'd know that most families have a few kids. The western mainstream media & political leaders are literally lying through their teeth.

Last October, I travelled from Pakistan along the Karakoram Highway into China. I cleared the final custom and immigration in Tashkurgan. This region is extremely rugged and mountainous but beautiful. The Tajiks here are the smallest minority group in China. From here, I travelled all the way to Kashgar.
@@freenational What bandits are you talking about? I was in a group and travelled in a coach from Islamabad to the Hunza Valley and then to the Pakistan-China border. From here we were transferred to Pakistan Tourist Board coach to enter China through the Khunjerab Pass at over 4000 meters high. The immigration and custom on both the Pakistan and China sides were very strict. When you obtain the Pakistan visa, you must indicate the exit point as SOST, otherwise you cannot clear Pakistan immigration and custom at this point. It is best you contact a Pakistan Travel agency who could work out an itinerary for you. This part of Pakistan is very safe. I feel safer in Pakistan than in some inner cities in the US.

The Pakistan part close to China is safe, because China is strict in border control. But other parts of Pakistan are not so safe due to the Islamic militants.
Can you give me more information about your on road travel to China? I live in Peshawar and currently jobless but I carry the dream of traveling to China since a very long time. When I amass enough money I will visit China. Was your trip a business or tourist?

@mingoucz jcz, Of course, they are Aryans. It is obvious they are not of the mongoloid people of which the Hans are a subset. Whether they are Tajiks, Uzbeks, etc. They are all of the Persian speaking Iranian group that is local to that area. Nevertheless, their ethnicity is not important in the context of national allegiance.
@mingoucz jcz No, Iranians are the original Aryan people from where all Aryan people migrated from, to the Indus Valley and westward to Europe and beyond. North Indians are Aryans and South Indians are Dravidians. Iran is the homeland of the Aryan people.

Northern Indian Aryans speak Hindi, an Indic language that is part of the Indo-Iranian group of languages that in turn is part of the Indo-European languages. Look up Indo-European Languages to learn. Indic languages are also called Indo-Aryan languages. Persia is modern day Iran.

Wikipedia documented that the Tajiks in China are different from the Tajik people in neighbouring Tajikistan. Tajiks in China are related to Iranian and not Tajiks in Tajikistan, it said. So, they speak different languages.
Now the figures had been re-adjusted to 50, since the indian news media interviewed some of their return injured soldiers and got the info. from their horse mouths. The interviewee even told his interviewer that there are 4 Critically injured soldiers who they are expecting to recover (magically) and go back to join the army unit again in a week time. I know for a fact that Zakir Naik is a wanted person in India and the sizable Indian community, as well as the Chinese community, have been very vocal on the Malaysian government to extradite that thorn in the flesh but to no avail. He is shielded by the majority Muslim community.
Do you know why Tajiks in China support the government? Cuz they are the only Shiite in China and surrounded by Sunni. They were treated badly by Sunni Muslims like Uighurs.
