You are incorrectly referring to the departure leg as the upwind. The upwind leg parallels the runway on the opposite side of the the downwind leg. Pilots often interchange the upwind and departure leg, however it is technically incorrect according to the AIM and could be confusing if one day traffic is dense and "the other" pilot is looking for you on a leg you are not actually flying. I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'd like to clarify a couple of things. 1. Editing takes everything out of context; this is an hour+ flight condensed into less than 10 minutes. 2. While we do have fun during flights, we take everything very seriously. Again, you've got to understand there is 50 minutes of this flight where we barely talk; would you rather watch 10 minutes of us just acting like every other aviation youtuber? Or 8 minutes of us showing the highlights from the flight and 2 minutes of seriousness? I appreciate your opinion and I'm sorry to see you go, I just wanted to clarify a few things.
