As an American living here, I do agreed that when u're in their land, it's their way of lifestyle and we shouldn't be too edgy using our standards to judge. Btw it's not all who spit, just some lower class pple. If u're not happy with also other things, just leave the place. Back home probably u 'ld complain abt other things. If you complain about spitting in China, you haven't been to San Francisco lately to see the poop and pee literally on the main streets. Downtown LA isn't much better. In fact every major US city smells urine in the alleys. The one thing Chinese don't do is urinating in the street.

我发现有些事情就是偏见，提起中国就说什么空气质量不好、国人爱随地吐痰等等，或许这些是典例，但并不代表很多人都这样吧，说空气质量不好，你要看在中国什么地方对吧，毕竟中国那么大，我住的地方空气质量就很好，还有随地吐痰，请问谁随时在街上都看到有人吐痰了，就算有，那也是少数少见好吧，还有很多事情也是，不要以偏概全，有些偏并不是大多数，只是一些典型个例带火了而已，每个国家都一样，有好的和不好的方面，就看你怎么去看待和对待

As an overseas Chinese. I can critique my own motherland to make it better. China is a great place to visit, good food, cheap, infrastructure wise it is as good as Japan already. The only shortcoming in China is the cleanliness of public toilets, becareful not to get cheated and they have little regards for personal space there. Other than that, visitors have nothing to worry about.

your impression about beijing maybe is 10 years ago or 8 years ago. Chinese cities change EVERYDAY. i am a beijing local who are currently living abroad, even i was impressed every time i went back. of course it's clean now. China is a country with almost 10,000 gdp per capita right now, that is a critical turning point, you should have expect that, especially in the top cities.

Oh my god , you watched that movie in ShuangJin UME where I grew up since I was a child. So many good memories there ! By the way , as a foreigner, you might find it is hard to pay cash in Beijing because most of the shops in Beijing are only accept Money electronically by scanning Q code and if you pay cash they usually don’t have changes to give you.

Shenzhen is a special economic zone city so everything is new in most areas.Wuhan and Suzhou also doing new technology.Was in Shenzhen twice the last few months but may not be back there until next year or in six years to see the new tallest towers which will be built there which will be taller than ping an center and the new harbour city there.

We have been using mobile pay for years, it's very convenient, just scan the QR code with your phone and the payment is done. So all you need is your phone and fingerprint.

@@jianyuhua 25RMB actually, from Airport to Dongzhimen, but only from T2&T3(a shuttle bus is needed if go from T1). A connection metro/bus is also needed from destination of the airport express line. Not suggested if someone is about to run a marathon, as the hassling metro might wear off his stamina.

If you take subway it's 25-30RMB from airport to city center, it takes 30-40min.

I really need to tell you this as a Chinaman, if you want to see what China is like,go ChongQing,best City ever,beautiful some parts stunning,and very very relaxed ,SiChuang people are generally nicer and enjoying life better,Beijing is like if you visited Alaska instead of LA or NYC for your impression of America,that place's vibe is off,I've been there twice and it always felt emptier and people are stranger,food isn't right at all,very up-tight in general,a lack of culture and life I would say.Fuck that place,Boring AF.Or you can try the very center of Chengdu,very very nice.

8:30, you are doing it wrong. Use another pair of Chopsticks for those raw meat, and your own pair for cooked meat. That is what we Chinese do when eating hot pot meal. Not good for your health if mixed.

I have noticed that many westerners go to China and end up staying in hostels. Hostels in China while it is cheaper, it is not pleasant to stay in according to western standards. All you have to do is search a bit online (many hotel apps to choose from) and get a relatively cheap hotel room which can be much more comfortable (of course a bit more costly than a hostel). Don't want to sound harsh, but don't complain about how bad first impressions of China is when you stay in hostels. I am not saying you are complaining, this is just a general statement to other tourists.

1000 year egg is really not that bad, I don't know why people make such an issue of it. It taste like Jelly with some custard in it. French blue fungus cheese is more disgusting.

Actually if anyone would want to go to China, Beijing wouldn't be the place that u feel that comfortable about. I would suggest y'all to go to Shenzhen and Shanghai, in which u can feel more like ur in LA or sth

Why you are so tense? Just relax, it’s ok to say something nice about China. I am impressed that you liked the thousand year egg. You will like China more if you stayed in a better hotel.
