Flying Raijin EXPLAINED?!

I think the "Run on sight" order for Minato wasn't merely because he could kill you, but because he could mark you with a Flying Raijin seal which would compromise the safety of everyone around you forever

I didn't think there was anything that could be potentially more overpowered than the sharingan, until you explained the Flying Raijin in detail.

Honestly the flying raijin is the perfect assassination technique for ninjas. If you can deploy a strike team to attempt to assassinate someone, intentionally fail and retreat after placing the mark, it does not matter how heavily guarded the target is. They could be in a panic room dozens of feet below the surface in a hermetically sealed concrete box with guards covering not only the entrance but any possible ventilation points as well, and you could still appear behind your target, kill them, and get out before anyone could possibly know you're there

He didn't mention how the Minato taught it to Genma and the rest of his guard platoon. It did take all 3 of them to perform it though.

I love that out of all the things Tobirama has created and has had very functional and normal names for, he calls one of them "flying thunder god." Makes sense why Minato uses it since he's known for having very goofy names for jutsu.

Imagine if a sharingan user mastered the flying Raijin move. Now that’s a character right there

Easily my favorite jutsu. Would be sick if someone like Himawari learned to combine it with gentle fist after the time skip. Or idk someone else can learn it but Boruto can alreadyy teleport with Karma and Sarada will eventually probably have some MS ability. I just wanna see someone learn it either during or after time skip.

Imagine if Minato learned to use A’s lightning cloak.. even higher reaction speeds and having insane speed outside of just his teleportation. How do you even beat that, it’s just overkill but would be so awesome

Body flicker in basic terms is just the substitution jutsu, or at least, that’s the jutsu you use FOR the substitution technique. Essential it’s just a boost to your base speed, which is crazy because no one ever really utilized it like Shisui did. And I’ve never really thought about the Flying Raijin technique being a direct counter to the Uchiha. When NCHammer explained it, It made me realize how much more amazing Tobirama and the jutsu really is. Breaking down the jutsu, and yeah, it really is a direct counter to the Sharingan.

You mentioned the Raikage lighting cloak! That would b a cool video to go over with the raikage line and abilities. Maybe the Village Hidden in the Clouds in general.

I said it from day 1, flying raijin easily makes it near the top of the most deadly and dangerous jutsu. It may not be the most destructive, but the tactical advantages it gives makes it broken as fuck. I could recall being in debates where minato is ranked near the bottom of the hokage. What people get caught up on his how simple it appears, you just be standing there and suddenly you're dead from a slit throat or something. It's only near the end of naruto did i really see minato get the credit he deserves. The guy had a flee on sight order for a reason, not only was he deadly, he was a HUGE security risk. Forget teleporting into a ninja camp during war, the guy could mark someone in secret and get in the VILLAGE where he could do anything from setting up more marks, spying, set explosives, assassinate and whatever manner of methods to mess with his targets. I wouldn't have been surprised that if a ninja was found to have been in contact with him, some villages would just kill that ninja and burn the body on the spot. The other hokage were more overt threats while minato was more covert. I would also add that i'm sure he could do much more, he DOES know sage mode, grant he says he's not good at it but he can still use it. Just imagine how broken he can be teleporting around even in an imperfect sage mode. Imagine him having the ma and pa toads using their croaking genjutsu while teleporting around a battlefield, it would be the ultimate in support as it basically stops all targets from moving so your boys could kill them off easy

Minato and Tobirama is the epitome of a Ninja.

Larger objects are harder and takes more chakra because you're tearing a hole in space in order to travel. You compare it to summoning, but it's much more complicated

My question regarding flying raijin is how does Minato determine/select which seal he instantaneously transports to? Assuming he has thousands of seals all over the world, does he just think "go to kunai #48"?

Idea. Imagine if Konan had flying raijin? Her paper can already turn invisible, turn any color, move independently from the collection, fly, can transmit sight and hearing to the user and even explode. Now imagine if she could teleport between each one. And seal a tailed beast bomb in a paper slip. Instantly teleport explosive paper bombs to targets and set them off. Make a sea of teleporting, unseeable, flame resistant, water resistant, explosive, razor sharp paper slips. Can you tell why paper is my favorite? That’s not even mentioning that one paper sealing jutsu where you seal multiple pieces of paper into paper. My god what have I birthed?

I see minato can pop up at your home anytime. With his seal by your door, best be careful.

I'd take Flying Raijin or Shadow Clones. Having even just one more of myself to read a book and gain the knowledge instantly after popping would be awesome. Not to mention sending one to work while I didn't have too =D

As for the Bigger=More Chakra thing. I believe it has something to do with entering and exiting out the void. For a person to TP, they need to go through the fabric of space...twice, entering and exiting. So essentially this uses Chakra because of course, how else? While the seal may not use any chakra, doing the technique will. So the bigger something is the more chakra you need. As you would need to push harder to go through the fabric of space and into the void and out of it. Remember who a needle or any thin/narrow object can easily go through the fabric of space but not a ball or anything bigger than the threads forming the fabric? You need to exert much more force to get that bigger object through the fabric. This explains why Minato needed more chakra to teleport larger objects because the fabric of space is literally a fabric. And the smaller something is, the easier it is to teleport. Which explains why the tailed beast bomb took longer to tp as it was larger than the threads making up the fabric of space, forcing the jutsu to maybe rip or spread them apart which consumes more energy.

I think initial chakra cost and difficulty being fixed is sort of short selling the complications that these sorts of techniques tend to have. I'm just making this up, but I imagine the difficulty and cost goes up regardless of the same fixed space travelled due to the cost required to maintain the jutsu for all its "participants."

I think the reason Minato was considered better at flying raijin then Tobirama was because he created a more versatile version that could do crazy shit like make a barrier that can teleport jutsu away even bijudama, but some pepople have the misconception that his teleport was faster when i think only his movement speed and reaction speed were faster. Plus how can you make INSTANT transport with no startup time faster? the only limit is reaction speed to register in your mind the desire to teleport. Tobirama should be IN THEORY equally as capable with the base flying raijin were all you do is mark and teleport and should be capable of the same strategy of marking a bunch of throwable weapons such as kunai and dispersing them around the battle field. Also nothing is stoping you from just marking and throwing a pebble which is smaller and thus can carry a larger amount, or you could just mark the area itself every few metres if you have prep time.

Flying Raijin is basically Naruto's interpretation of stopped time, and, as we know, the ability to stop time is op af, because no matter what visual prowess you posess, your brain can only process visual information gathered by your eyes in it's relative movement through spacetime, and if there is no information passed through spacetime, you might as well fight blindfolded, because your eyes do nothing for you.

If your traveling through "nothing" you probably need some kind of chackra coating or protection and extending that over a greater area must be hard. So the bigger the area you need to cover when transporting through "nothing" the more chackra you need.

The seals are like doors. The bigger the item, the bigger the door needed to get through. Like when Minato transported a tailed beast bomb. They showed a gigantic seal. He’s using more chakra to make both sides of the door bigger to get in and out of that time-space. Since the seals use very little chakra and with perfect chakra control (which minato clearly has as even a tailed beast said it rivaled SO6P. He was able stretch a pennies worth of chakra to do it. At least that’s how I understand it.

Technically he has infinite speed right? So if he were to initiate the jutsu mid punch as soon as he appeared on the other end and made contact he would have an infinite amount of force making him one punch man 2.0

What if Flying Raijin was an Uzumaki influenced technique hence it's sealing uses. Just a theory

His very difficult to catch or touch remember he dodge tobirama flying Rajin while he was blind 3. If they failed and he catches them than it’s game over as he will use Chakra Rods to immobile them and boom the ally shinobi force is down two hokages it wasn’t worth it because if they succeeded than someone’s village will be visited by a big blue angry Suseno.

I think an Aburame clan member learning Flying Raijin would be really cool. They could mark all of their insects and then just send them wherever they want to go but can't get to themselves. They could have them land on the backs of any enemies without having to physically touch and mark those people themselves. I'm sure there's a hundred more really cool uses for that combo too.

For the jutsu we have never actually seen completely - it seems like he sends lightning release between/through all of the marked points simultaneously to entirely fill the constantly expanding area.

I believe the reason its harder to move bigger objects in the dimension is because as you stated its a void between each dimension. Imaging there were 5 rooms, one in the middle and 4 on each side. The middle would be the void. Now fill the middle room with water and seal it off so nothing can leak out. This is what youll travel through when youre in the “void”. So say someone teleports into it. The water, since sealed off, cant leak or pore out anywhere so it pushes against the walls. You may still move in freely since it isnt too much pressure since your size doesnt affect the room to much. But now imagine teleporting that a bus into the room. The water will be pushing almost breaking each wall trying to leak out. Not only that but the pressure from the water compressing the bus would be much more. Moving through that water would be extremely harder. Thats how i see the void. Thats why also the person moves so fast since when they are “leaving” the “water” (void) launches them out making it instantaneous since they are pushed so fast. Its hard to describe in text. But i hope this makes sense

I'd say Flying Raijin is the strongest jutsu known. If you were to be attacked you can just teleport to the other side of the continent INSTANTLY. If you end up with a chibaku tensei orb in your chest just teleport away and it works with the six paths one.

Wouldn’t the density of the object effect it’s movement through the “nothing” like if you have something as large as the full power 9 tails biju bomb. Moving something that large with all the dense chakra that comprises that it’s stated to have would probably make it harder to move farther through the dimensional rift

The reason why minato was able to spam flying raijin is that he has insane chakra control, he doesn't have that huge chakra reserve but he definitely excels at chakra control. Its just like using a droplet of chakra. In comparison it needed 3 people(jonin) to perform flying raijin, it was used to transport the mizukage mei to the battlefield. Quick explaination to it is that they dont have the chakra control to use it instantaneously.

Hey NCHammer I love your video and enjoy hearing your opinions and the fact the you research for. I would really enjoy hearing your opinions on who is the weakest to strongest kage from the hidden leaf. It is very obvious that naruto and hashirama are the strongest but I'm curious on what you think of the others.

One can tell that Tobirama was a genius if someone was going to make a new jutsu they were like "ok i have this projectile jutsu, what can i make new? oh a bigger projectile jutsu". Dude likely took heavy inspiration to create the flying raijin from the summoning jutsu to create basically a quick reverse summoning but with slightly different rules as he could add fuinjutsu or sealing jutsus qualities to it like being able to create a barrier that uses the seal marks to teleport anything to a previously marked position. But i dont think it had anything to be with dimensions but just literal teleporting without having to pass through a void or anything because if there was a void in between would not be as quick.
