I went on a few family holidays to Dawlish Warren in the early to mid 60s, and every time we were pulled by a steam engine. Back then it was the only way. Never by the 4472 unfortunately. The times I stood as a kid by that sea wall and watched the steam locos thunder by, and now the sight is such a rarity. What memories this particular video has triggered in my head. That you so much for posting it.
A wonderful video of a masterpiece of British engineering. I wounder if King Charles has sent "her" (Flying Scotsman) the obligitory 100 yrs old Birthday telegram/card ? - Also I note @9:55 a car on the road indicating "right" only to pull over onto the right hand side of the road, to stop, right in the path of the oncoming traffic. 👍
