So once you get the boarding pass, you pretty much have a seat. Otherwise, they'll send you ahead with a boarding pass that has no seat number but even then you should get on. When the seat number disappeared from the app, it almost certainly meant they were trying to fit you in a higher cabin. Has happened to me twice. So it's a good sign usually on premium standby if you ask me. Once, I did have a boarding pass without a seat number when flying from DXB to LHR. The check-in agent said that you are accepted for the flight, but the seat would be decided at the gate.

Hi ! Silly question (sorry I am a newbie... ) when do you book your hotels? I mean if you are not sure to have a seat I guess you book last minute at the airport? Also for the return leg: there is no guarantee you could fly back the day you planned to or is it a returm ticket? Thanks !!!!

Are you not doing the Points Guy vlogs any more?. Must say though it is good you got club world. I used staff travel twice through a friend with delta and got business class twice on the outbound. Got premium economy once and offloaded and picked up the following day in econony once so not too bad.

Is it guaranteed most of the time that you will be able to get alteast a seat when travelling as Staff/Nominee?
